Sony threatens to pursue legal action against PS3 hackers

Following reports that hackers have cracked PlayStation 3's anti-piracy softare, SCEA has declared that it will "aggressively pursue" anyone caught engaging in such activity with legal action.

"Unfortunately, hackers will try to exploit any hardware system software," SCEA spokesperson Dave Karraker told GamesIndustry.biz.

"The best we can do as a company is to make our security that much stronger and aggressively pursue legal action against anyone caught trying to use an exploit in an illegal manner."

If i were a shareholder and we as a company are already loosing money, and when everyone else is suing us, why would i not want to stop them in their tracks?

See also: Busting Lik-Sang when it was proven that even many Sony execs had bought products from the site. Lik-Sang was shut down, but nobody in Sony who violated their owm company's policy (being that they deemed Lik-Sang illegal and purchases within the company were easily traced) were ever fined or otherwise legally pursued.

And you know because you work for Sony's legal team?

Sony has every right to attack those that agree to use the system under the TOU agreement in PS3 manual and on the actual unit itself.
