Parents clueless on video game ratings

News.com.au:
"A survey has shown mums and dads have no clue when it comes to game ratings and parental lock controls on consoles.

Only 26 per cent of parents are aware controls existed on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii which can restrict the time spent playing games while 49 per cent were unaware of built-in classification locks."

The story is too old to be commented.

Take an interest in what your kids do. How hard is that. I know it can be confusing when a company like Microsoft lies about parental controls like they did this year. Remember when Obama went off about the Xbox, and Microsoft replied

"Xbox 360 is the only console gaming system that has a timer feature allowing parents to set time limits for their kids, as well as parent controls to enable parents to set limits on what their kids are playing and watching."

That doesn't excuse parents from not learning about the ratings, but it certainly doesn't help with Microsoft muddying the waters like that.
