Nintendo Should add Skills for Link to Level Up

Now this is not a brand new concept by any means. In fact this concept has been used in many best sellers. And not to overkill the entire Fallout 3 idea, but this concept was very well done in the latest Fallout installment. And in a more close to home example, we can all recall The Legend of Zelda: Adventure of Link. Though a very primitive game compared to the massive games of today, The Adventure of Link was the first Zelda game to introduce the concept of skill leveling. However, since its release Nintendo has veered away from this concept and generally has avoided the entire concept of skills.

wtf is the author on, that would be heresy, the zelda series is legendary, they shouldn't change a damn thing, I wouldn't mind a longer story though, I like the linear but open world nature of the games where it unfolds as they intended at development, just like a beautiful story

Legend of Zelda II.

Its a case of been there done that. Its the gamers who wanted a topdown zelda game like the first one and so was LTTP born(even though that game had items with level-1/2/3/4;

casual?!?! it's as "casual" as metroid is. stop associating a legendary franchise with a casual console. zelda games were hardcore long before the "casual" wii.

zelda is about dungeons and monsters not grinding!!!

Just No. The way Link (you) grow is by finding new items and defeating bad ass enemies. Zelda is an Action game with RPG elements, at its root.

You want leveling up play WoW or..an RPG?

The game can still be casual and it can still feel like a zelda game. Adventure of Link did it just fine. A lot of zelda fans in the community want to see the return of spells and deeper options for combat.

And no I do not want leveling up elements like WoW. As the way this was explained, there would be no training or leveling up. You would not have Link sitting in a mine field boosting his mining level or anything stupid. It would all be subtle leveling up as the game progresses.

The return of spell is asked by the fans of course but spell like those in ocarina of time and by that i mean "item spells"

Light arrow , din's fire , farore wind ... those are used in a sloving puzzles way Not in a skill set for the main character

No thanks . I dont even understand how as a fan would anyone want to turn one of the resisting/rebelling games into the other common ones .

Each game and genre should keep some uniqueness ... not everything has to be cookie cutter because "omgeee fallout whore itself out and it sold millions!"
