Sega has release a new trailer from Aliens Vs. Predator.
I GOTTA SAY, THE GAME LOOKS PRETTY GOOD! SURE GRAPHICS COULD BE BETTER THAN WHAT WE'RE USED TO SEEING OUR CONSOLES OUTPUT! BUT ALL IN ALL I THINK I'M LOOKIN FORWARD TO THIS TITLE!!
Yeah this game does look good and fun to play
I'm buying this game. Looks like they did good with the franchise.
Looks like it's going to be a winner. If this one is anything like AvP 2 for the PC that came out back in the day, gamers will be in for a treat. Can't wait to munch on some Marine brains.
but I'm still not holding my breath. With that paper weight of a game they just released, Rebellion has to do quite a lot to win me over.
Ugh... i hate that sound... the sound of the smart gun is like death to my ears. MOST HATED GUN EVER! New people to the series will hate it with a passion especially if they love being the Aliens or the Preds. It's a lifesaver for the Marines/Corporates. I hope we still have the Flamer best way to torch out Preds in a hallway since when they burn, they can see sh!t. If the single player is anything like the AVP2. Preds will be fighting Marines the most while sneaking away from the Smart Turrets. Aliens will fight Marines plus some Preds with speed, pouncing, and evading. Marines will do the scary "i think there's something behind me but i dont want to look."
relax with the caps would you?
He is excited. ^^
Ok the trailer did his job :D i was about 100% hyped for this game, but know it's about 250-300% ^^ DAY ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Straight in as the Marine for me! Does anyone ever choose to play as the Alien first??
In the other two I played, Pred, Alien then Marine. Edit- the Alien is fun as F**k by the way, Marine is more about tension and Predator is a mix
HELL YES! HELL YES!!! Goddamn, I can't wait until February!
The multiplayer is something.
I still don't get how they managed to fuk the films up so badly lol
Predator kicks ass
Meh, I don't ever trust movie based games. I might rent it.
It's not movie based, game was based on comics(I think), movie based on games, the old ones are in my top 10 games of all time.
The Aliens vs Predator stories date back a lot farther than the movies, which have yet to get it right. IrishAssassin is right that the comic books came first. Dark Horse ran a whole lot of small story arcs based on the concept. They built a whole mythology that the AvP movies have not even come close to getting right. The games have all been based on the settings that were put forth in the comics, which is something the movies really need to do in order to get it right.
The comics came first (as has been pointed out), and the first PC version was brilliant.
If they dont disappoint like how AVP2 was. This game will trump exclusives. Dead Rising 2, AVP3, and Dead Space 2 are my top priorities this coming Feb-March.
Lets hope the game SP and MP is as good as that trailer looks. I LOVED the fact that Lance Henricksen is doing the voice. I did not know this prior to viewing this trailer. One more game to get in 2010!! BTW Im a HUGE AVP fan....the last movie sucked though "Requiem"...HORRIBLE !!
To be fair both movies were horrible. The first one had some good concepts, but setting the film in modern times just ruined it in my opinion. Not to mention the fact that there were no marines to get tangled up in the middle of everything. The only good thing about either movie was the stuff that had to do with the eventual formation of Wayland Yutani.
I liked the first AVP movie, and was actually glad that there were no 'Marines' this time round - They turn up in just about every comic version to the point were the franchise seems to be more about them than the Aliens themselves. Agree that REQUIEM was a load of suspense-free tosh though. It was like a 'greatest hits' done like a TV movie but with added gore to make it 'mature'.
I was happy when the Pred killed the girl by accident and she was pinned to the wall. I was sad when the stupid guy didnt die when the Alien used his tail.
