Extreme Gamer: Game of the Year Awards

Another fabulous year has passed, and once again gamers have been blessed with another great year of videogames. What started off a little slow, turned into a fantastic year filled with AAA titles, unforeseen hits, and record breaking releases. Things are certainly picking up as the consoles mature in their development cycle. Nintendo is starting to embrace the idea of having more Mature content on its consoles. Sony has continued its support of Home, along with producing some excellent first-party games, and Microsoft keeps ticking along with regular updates to the Xbox 360's infrastructure, along with more continued support for Xbox Live. Gaming has never been better, and it is great to see the game companies as passionate about their games, as the gamers. (Assassin's Creed 2, Batman: Arkham Asylum, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Dead Space Extraction, Dragon Age: Origins, Forza Motorsport 3, Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars, Halo Wars, MLB 09: The Show, Nintendo DS, PC, PS3, PSP, Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time, Ratchet & Clank: A Crack in Time, Resistance: Retribution, Scribblenauts, Shadow Complex, Street Fighter IV, The Beatles: Rock Band, Wii, Xbox 360)
