Broadcasters are trying everything they can to make TV more exciting, but this has to be one of the first times a presenter has used an Xbox 360 to show analysis footage from a "football" game in America.
this is news? jesus in recent news, ps3 used to replicate the soccer game in europe! WOOPTY DOO
PS3 help to study disease and protein and global warming and 100's of other things which I rank higher than 'football' Also football is with a round ball, and Rygbu is better than American football.
nah i think they just want the game to look at its best
He just loads the video on Xbox and uses the player. It's basic function of the console. Wow, let's make a news of it. It's a PRODUCT PLACEMENT, try wiki. Kinda like an ad, so(to reporting people) why the hell it's somehow lamer than typical ads running in TV?
So a videogame looks better than real life? Also, the latest NFL games have been superior on PS3. If not, then it's been equal.
@ SasanovaS1987 - "this is news? jesus in recent news, ps3 used to replicate the soccer game in europe! WOOPTY DOO " That's funny, Can't believe how many times I've heard about the air force buying 2200 PS3's @Hay - "He just loads the video on Xbox and uses the player. It's basic function of the console. Wow, let's make a news of it." Hmmmm, same thing can actually be said about folding now can't it? Why not just read the article if you are interested and pass on it if you're not. What's with all the hate? @THE MAX SPEED 21 (Below) Thank You! I agree 100%
European football : Where you kick the BALL with your FOOT American football : Where you carry the EGG with your HANDS
PS3 is used to cure diseases and the Air Force is using it's tech as well. But kudos MS for blowing minds with your rewind button.
I swear i seen this a couple months back, it is old news for sure.
Here ya go: http://n4g.com/xbox360/News...
@KingME: I think you should try the stuff called reading with comprehension.
Good move by M$. Sony needs to do some of this in the US where they are hurting.
It wouldn't be effective, the reliability rate isn't good enough. Having to replace many of the machines would make it very inefficient.
Could save thousand by keeping dangerous 360's off the street.
60% chance that the research will fail imao.
that they resort to this.
360s are used for Football analyses... *cough*
lame. and people who finds a way to complain or hate on this is also lame.
an Xbox?...perhaps he is just using the controller to control a PC (you know...since MS makes these controllers for PC too) Edit: I just watched the whole clip here: http://www.nfl.com/videos/n... Nothing shows this being on an Xbox.
He's not using an 360. If he were, you'd see a pause icon every time he pauses it. It's just a controller for windows.
Wouldn't you love an ad block plus for TV. I don't find adverts that much of a problem here in Britain but America from my experience is worse.
Not to flame here but thats risky. I hope its pre recorded or delay from real time. If it was to lag, croak or the worst RRoD, somebody is gonna be in big trouble. or maybe its a PC with 360 controller like this guy above said
this is old news tooooo why does it not filter out old storys
Microsoft will be very pleased, I'm sure. In fact, The local Bellboy is telling The Boss right now - AKA. Mr Bill Gates :D
Watch it RROD on live lol I kid, I kid :P
The camp proud that a basic function of their console is being used in public, with the off-shoot of being good advertising - that MS *NEVER* pays for - or the other has to attack it/defend their own with uses their console has been put to outside of its normal, basic function. There's as just the sheer lameness of comparing basic pubic use to private/service use, saying that they're anything equal - but frankly that's just f*cking stupid. This is a f*cking stupid argument. Just stop it.
old story, previous story on an English news site stated 360 controller used in conjunction w/ PC.
All I'm wondering is what made them think using a 360 for this was a good idea and what did they do before the 360 was released? Don't they have regular TV/cable/satellite remotes? WTF? I don't use my PS3 controller to rewind my DVR. I use the DVR remote.
I bet the triggers make it easier to forward/rewind then on a remote. The thing cost 50 bucks maybe. trust me, the nfl has the kind of money to spare on a very small luxury.
Thats nice, I'll stick to cancer research with [email protected] and potentially save lives of the people who get sick.
You Sony fan guys sure hate EVERYTHING 360, you spend more time here trolling than you do actually play your 'supermachine', but I guess that's the only way you can communicate with each other online
be great if they try to show a highlight and get the RROD kinda like when Gates showed of windows 98 at the CES and got a BSOD hmm I'm guessing MS makes Crappy software and hardware :) that's why i love my mac and PS3 :)
Well, theres going to be at least a 33% chance of that happening.
If memory serves, on the BBC Moto GP coverage in the 2008 season, the hosts used the game (not sure which platform) to give a tour of the track. Unfortunately, Steve Parish was rubbish and the feature was dropped halfway through the season.
