Many potential Star Trek Online players were left disappointed earlier, when an interview podcast revealed that Klingon gameplay would be entirely PvP based.
After the ensuing uproar on the official forums, Cryptic's Jack Emmert confirmed their worst fears:
"Klingon gameplay is almost entirely PvP. We are trying to get some PvE in (there's already a tad bit). And, if the players demand it, we'll add more content (like episodes). I want us to be agile as a company and respond to what the customers want.""
Oh dear oh dear oh dear...
This isn't good. I think Cryptic just lost a big chunk of their STO fans :(
Ugh. That kinda sucks. It's good that there's SOME PvE in there, though...
I'd heard it was more based on PvP but not totally. Ouch.
Cryptic seriously have bitten off more than they can chew. The actual gameplay of STO looks extremely average, and speaking to a couple of beta testers I know they've been left completely dissapointed.
They should have focused on either Champs Online or this. Any company doing 2 MMOs within 6 months of each other is just insanely ambitious. Both games will, and have, suffered dramatically from it, it seems.
Well I mean if this takes place before the Kittimer Accord then I don't see the issue seeing that the Klingons pretty much attacked anyone who isn't Klingons... well unless they were from a different house and had a disagreement.
Woot Star Trek geekin lol :)
