OXCGN: Operation Flashpoint 2: Dragon Rising Review - No Holds Barred First Person Shooter Simulation

Arthur Kotsopoulos: "Operation Flashpoint 2: Dragon Rising is not your typical run-and-gun shooter, which I found out the hard way. Yes I knew it was a tactical military shooter but my God I wasn't expecting it to be this hard! But the reward of changing how I played paid off."

The story is too old to be commented.

Not sure I'd like this one...I prefer action to pin-point accuracy and one bullet kills.

One bullet will kill, as will a wound of significance. But for me, that's half the reason to make sure you use your head, rather than your body as a bullet sponge like some gamers do.

I think games like this help some gamers realize that a bullet is lethal, and it can kill with one hit., and that a grenade will kill you faster than you can blink an eyelid.

I can see this game only appealing to die-hard FPS fans though. As many gamers do prefer the lazy-mans FPS's of today, rather than the hardcore style, especially where group tactics are NEEDED, not an optional extra.
