USA Today Review: 'The Saboteur' lost in crowded open-world genre

USA Today writes: "This has been a pretty strong year for the open-world game. Consider a few of 2009's stars: inFamous, Prototype, Red Faction: Guerrilla, Assassin's Creed II and even Borderlands.

Now add Electronic Arts' WWII-based action game The Saboteur to the list. Although the story and environment show promise, the game fails to introduce fresh ideas in what's becoming an overcrowded genre."

Second of all, the "fresh new Ideas" excuse died for reviewers when they let several games this year get high scores that basically did nothing new; especially since these C-grade journalists are hyping up Dante's Inferno in the same breath.

That's not being complicated, it's being hypocritical.

I got this game day 1 and it is better than I thought it would be. It is very similar to GTA4, but set in WW2.
