A review looking at the aspects of the Xbox 360/PS3 critically acclaimed game, Braid, that seem to have been overlooked in the many other publications. Thanks.
Woah... I heard this game was good. 4/10?? Really?
...The game comes out for the 360 and it's a masterpiece!!! Gets a port to the PS3 and all of a sudden it's worthless. I bought this game and enjoyed it thoroughly. It isn't any more repetitive than any game with a certain style of game-play. Yes, you rewind time throughout the game. But that is part of the games mechanics like shooting is part of Halo. Each world has different challenges and are very original. The game was critically acclaimed and for good reason.
this game received a bit too much hype when it was first released. It's essentially Mario Bros with the ability to rewind time. Once that wears off theres nothing to get excited about here.
I'm sure you'll get a lot of hate for the score, but I didn't "get" the game either, and I played it a while ago on the 360.
I'm surprised, even the fabled Yahtzee seemed to really like this game. Might check it out anywho...
Yahtzee is a tool. I think Braid was overhyped. Braid is a fun game but it isnt something you come back to and play over and over. It was innovative and interesting but not such of a blockbuster as everyone made it out to be.
@taz8080 This is definitely a game that you don't come back to over and over again, you play it twice, three times max. Once to just go through all the levels, doesn't matter how many puzzle pieces you get. A second time to get all the puzzle pieces. And a third if you really, really feel up to it, he Speed-Run. This guy must have had sand in his vagina, this game was beautifully-frustrating. At least a 7/10.
I loved it. /shrug, different strokes for different folks, though!
