With the recent revelation that Sony are introducing a "PlayStation Network Premium" service in the next fiscal year, and the huge bags of cash Xbox LIVE has been raking in since its 2005 début, it seems almost ridiculous that Nintendo's online services have been so substandard. Easily memorable user-names are replaced with 16-digit numbers of no relevance which are nigh impossible to transfer to other consoles, downloadable games are restricted to 50 MB in size due to the console's tiny internal memory, and the low screen resolution makes web browsing a real pain.
