Five PSone Classics that Deserve to be Released on PSN

So, we got Final Fantasy VII and Metal Gear Solid out of the way, but the original PlayStation has such a superb library of classic games that we at AceGamez hope aren't being ignored. Well Sony, lets just hope for the sake of our sanity that you're working on these following titles. After all, a back catalog of PSone games wouldn't be complete without them. (PS3)

I'm with ya on the Silent Bomber demo. Mesmerising ain't it? I hope they pick up on the Legend of Dragoon as well. First RPG when combos depend on ya thumb's agility.

Crash Team Racing is a must.
They might as well update it to allow online!
Shadow Flare  +   1912d ago
What the hell is toy story racer doing in there. Put the colony wars series in there instead. Micro Machines V3 deserves a mention I think aswell
Christopher  +   1912d ago
Can't load the article, but Tenchu: Stealth Assassins should be on that list if it isn't. I'd also nominate Parasite Eve.

I hope they release FFVI that was ported to the PS1. I'd be all over that in a heart beat.
koehler83  +   1912d ago
Is this European? Cause it's way out of touch. Both Oddworlds and RE2 and RE3 have been released.
Lucreto  +   1912d ago
Suikoden 1 and 2,
Final Fantasy VIII & IX,
Legend of Dragoon.
SaiyanFury  +   1912d ago

Silent bomber was awesome, and no one ever played it.

Am I the only one who loves Tenchu?

No, I mean really loves.
kraze07  +   1912d ago
You aren't the only one. I'm still waiting for one to be made for the PS3.
SaiyanFury  +   1912d ago
I also love Tenchu. I'd love to see them available. Also I'm waiting for a PS3 Tenchu to be released. I have Tenchu Z on my 360. Literally, it's the only game I play on it anymore. Please FROM, bring a new Tenchu to our system.

PS3 needs Zone Of Enders no doubt about that. With 3rd person perspective and arcade like flight control there was no other game better then Z.O.E for PS.
kraze07  +   1912d ago
Both ZOE games are on the PS2. I would love another ZOE, but you sure you aren't talking about Omega Boost? It came out before ZOE, but is very similar to it.

From Software's King's Field series.
Final Fantasy VIII
Abe's Odyssey series.
Tomba was underrated, bring it back.

and many more.
Grandreaper9999  +   1912d ago
Tomba was insanely good. I do miss it :(
SuperStrokey1123  +   1912d ago
Kings field is full of win! Bubbles for you.

Id love to see these as well:

FF chronicles
Legend of Dragoon
Xeno Gears
lightningsax  +   1912d ago
They should totally have Einhander on the PSN store in NA/EU! There was an IGN interview a while back... forgot the link... about some FF game with one of the bigwigs at Square, the editor mentioned Einhander, and the Square guy said the company didn't feel like the game was that big of a deal, but they're still surprised at the reponse in America.

If that's the case, then why the heck is it out in Japan but not here? I thought Square liked to make money...
bigrob123  +   1912d ago
Thrill Kill lol
Grandreaper9999  +   1912d ago
I got my copy right here. I had to pick up a multitap to play this with my friends. It was worth it too, amazing game for its time.

It was also one of the first really bad games I played. Belladonna's crotch to face crush thing with the orgasmic moan? wtf? Bondage midget Imp. Cletus the cannibal?

I kick ass with Oddball though. Hospital patient skin though, with severed arms.
Sizzon  +   1912d ago
we in europe got alot of disney games lol and recently got metal gear solid, but tekken 3, toshinden, gran turismo 2, fighting force and bloody roar 2 would be nice
Perkel  +   1912d ago
i want these unreleased games for ps1:

gran turismo 2
gran turismo 1
final fantasy 8 (released jap heading eu/us)
Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2
VAGRANT STORY (heading for eu)
Spyro: Year of the Dragon
Front Mission 3
Harvest Moon: Back to Nature
Valkyrie Profile
Colin McRae Rally
Rollcage Stage 2
Final Fantasy Origins
Medal of Honor

and the list go on...

ps1 was such a good console :) PlayStation magic ;)
Grandreaper9999  +   1912d ago
I want Koudelka and Vampire Hunter D up there too.

And how about some Armored Core? Or Front Mission 3?
skwidd  +   1912d ago
Colony Wars
Am I the only one who enjoyed this classic? I believe it's from the same Wipeout studio developers. And I don't understand why it never made it to the PS2 and I think now is the perfect time to remake the original for the PS3. Perfect because there are NO space shooters!
danielle007  +   1912d ago
Parappa the rappa, anyone? loved it..
lightningsax  +   1912d ago
If that's ever released, it will be after the PSP is dead and gone. They're selling the ridiculously overpriced PSP version digitally, and selling the $6 PS1 title would be supposedly undercutting that version... but I'd venture to guess that no one's buying Parappa for nearly its release price.
skwidd  +   1911d ago
Yea that too! They have that other music game that's not Parappa but is like a spin off of sorts. Some animal with a guitar. Don't care for that. Give me Parappa.
Relientk77  +   1912d ago
Breath of Fire 3 and 4
Brave Fencer Musashi
Legend of Dragoon
Silent Bomber
Crash Team Racing
Final Fantasy 8 and 9
Guitardr85  +   1912d ago
Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't like 95% of PS1 games released on the Japanese PSN?! So in reality, this article should be "Five PSone Classics to be Released on American/European PSN!
Magnus  +   1911d ago
Easy to list games but put something fun on every once in a while

1 Blasto

2. FF8

3. Xenogears

4. Legend of Dragoon

5. Vagrant Stories

6. Parasite EVE 1&2

should be games that are avalible for dowload as well
hailSLAYER420  +   1911d ago
