GameDaily BIZ has obtained from one of its industry sources a recent Namco Bandai internal memo that reveals some executive changes.
Garry Cole, who had been with Namco for eight years (long before the company merged with Bandai), has resigned from his most recent position as the Executive Vice President of Sales for Namco Bandai Games America (NBGA). NBGA President Genichi Ito said that Cole is "moving on to new challenges." The move became effective back on May 25. Some believe he may have been forced out.
Taking Cole's place, effective June 4, is newly appointed Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing Andrew Lelchuk. He comes to NBGA from Ocean Pacific Apparel Corporation (OP) where he served as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for nearly seven years. While at OP, he was responsible for the company's strategic business development, sales, marketing and partner licensing. Prior to OP, Lelchuk had been Director of Global Business Development at The Coca-Cola Company and Director, DMM, Retail Business Development at The Walt Disney Company.
