GamingBolt: Forza Motorsport 3 Review

Gb writes: "Forza Motorsport games, being ultra-realistic simulators, have not been known to attract wider range of audience. But all that changes with the arrival of Forza Motorsport 3. Its still a great simulator to its core but it just manages to find a right balance to be accessible to a wider audience which may be is much into arcade racing. Forza Motorsport 3 in many ways sets a bar for how these kind of racing games should play."

Wow, those cars look awesome! I might pick this up juist for the customization.

gameseveryday3028d ago

Not sure how deep the customizations would be as compared to gran turismo 5. I hope when that game comes out, than I will take a call!

williamkenny3028d ago

Which one is easier to get into do ya think? GT5 or Forza?

FishCake9T43028d ago

Just go on youtube and look at the amount of things people have put on their cars. Homer Simpson, Stewie Griffin.

Forza will have more customization when it comes to paint schemes etc. At least going on previous GT iterations and they havent shown anything to indicate GT5 will be any different. Although of course they surely have more to unveil.

But it seems something Turn 10 are more interested in offering that sort of options than PD.

Forza 3 is really fantastic. If you have any interest at all in a racing sim you cant do any better than this on the consoles right now. I'm sure GT5 will be good, its a day 1 purchase for me, but Forza 3 is amazing. Buy it.

on another place you post...

"Gran Turismo is simply racing perfection"

Really?... Since when?!

Forza 3
This game is the best Racing Simulator on console ever! and for GT5 achieve that they need to copy what Forza have done.

2 things?

The demo of this game left a bad taste in my mouth, but I can not say the same about the final release. This game really has loads of content and is pretty damn fun. I'm really enjoying this one.

Saaking3028d ago

Go with GT5. It's always been the best: more cars, better graphics, better physics, better gameplay, one disk. If you have a choice go for GT5. If not, then just settle for Forza.

rockleex3027d ago

The more arcadey one... which happens to be Forza.

Assassin Nawabi3028d ago

ya those customization options are mindboggling

Assassin Nawabi3028d ago (Edited 3028d ago )

@rashid: gt5 doesn't have any visual customization options mate

gameseveryday3028d ago

any link that you can give me?

DelbertGrady3028d ago

Not sure about the rest either. In Forza 3 you can swap drivetrains, engines, choose if you want it supercharger, turbo, fuel injection powered, add bodymods like spoilers, back/front lights, side skirts etc. The works.

aaron58293028d ago

GT series had that drivetrain, gears, engines, turbos, supercharges etc etc etc...

Except bodykits.... and paint customisation.

GT4 had spoilers options though :)

cygnuszero3028d ago

The customization options are far beyond all the past GT games, not sure about GT5 but im pretty damn sure GT5 will not have anything close to the visual customization stuff in Forza at least.

The engine/body upgrades are likely very similar between the two. I grew up with GT but at this point im convinced Forza is just the better series at this point. There's just a lot more to it, the physics dont feel as stiff and lifeless as they do in Prologue and GT4.
