So each armor type will have their own strengths and weakneses. Interesting, I guess that will add more strategy to the gameplay. I can't wait.

This could be a great addition to HALO. If someone knows what their game style is, it would be nice to pick an armor set that would compliment your style. Say you like to play like more of a "Scout" or "Ranger", a character that likes to travel around the map quite a bit and use assault rifles and pistols, you can pick a more mobile suit.
Then again, if you like to sniper, or stick to the corridors and shadows on a map, and tend to move more slowly and deliberately, setting up camp here and there, maybe you would prefer a more beefy, less mobile set of armor.
This type of armor accessorizing works out great in games like Rainbox Six: Vegas, because you have players with different strenghts on the same team who all provide a different aspect of attack/defend strategy to their team.

Yea if this is true I can't wait to try out the armors to see which one suits me best.

there is so much that bungie is holding back from us, so little we know, so early and unfinished the beta is. the beta is such a tiny little sneak peek, graphically as well, i believe. i can't wait. i really can't wait to get a glimpse of the campaign, and i agree that these new armor types are not only super cool aesthetically but great strategically as well. a more robust, deeper, and customizable multiplayer experience? sounds good to me!

I hope you're correct Luckwaster because the competition is not coming this generation.

I think this armor idea is excellent. That should really help in terms of the roles different teammates play. I hope that it is truly balanced not easily exposed like the infamous "noob combo" of Halo 2.

It would have been nice for them to put that armor feature on the Beta to be balanced by so many users. Oh well, we have to put some faith in them to get it right.
