So you get a crisper image and a little more detail from the comparison shots shown. I think I'll let Dev's have some more time (not much mind you) to get around the learning curve of DX 11. In time I think you'll see a much greater increase in quality over DX 10 than you see here.

What learning curve? DX11 is easier do develop for than DX9.

LostDjinn2944d ago (Edited 2944d ago )

Are you saying DX11 cards don't use a different multi-threading system, Directcompute or anything else not found on previous cards?

You really don't think things through do you Panda? GPGPUs and the use of DX 11 mean a learning curve, no matter how small. It's a new way of doing things. Saying there's nothing new to learn shows you don't have a clue what you're talking about.

The good part about all this is devs are embracing DX11 more rapidly then DX10. In 2010 there will be quite a few games that are DX11 and many more coming.
This is a stark contrast to DX10 games where they were few and far between.

I wouldn't exactly use DiRT 2 to justify my DX11 card purchase. Let's wait for more games to support it fully and not just a simple port job.

sagapo2945d ago

based on these screens, Dx11 is worth nothing.

KRONie2944d ago

agreed, but i can still justify a purchase of DX11 card for its performance.

Looks like the PS3 vs. Xbox 360. Blurry vs clear & better graphics. Heh

arsenal552945d ago

yeah, 360 has some catching up to do.

codemasters used the advantages of DX11 on the crowds, flags, and water the most, only some use for atmospheric effects. And it also doesn't measure performance.

We need some more time before we can start making accurate comparisons.
