I was expecting more from this game I played BFBC 1 until Killzone 2 was released and I see this just as version 1.5 back to Whitesnow!
I'm surprised at how good this game actually is TBH as I wasn't expecting it to be all that good on console. I was going to buy this for PC but if I have friends buying it on PS3 I might be persuaded to join them.
Was addicted to MW2, and now I cannot put this down, which says alot when it is a 1 level beta - so much fun and every game you play is different, not repetitive atall
Definately one of the best betas I've ever been in. Even though it is one map it's still the most fun I've ever had since BF1943 and team fortress 2. In case any one is interested I got my beta key from gamespot. They are still giving them out as far as I know.
this game kicks so much ass!!!! its awesome!remember guys give them feedback to make this game even better when its released!!!!see you on the BattleField!!!
Yeah, the beta is very impressive. The gameplay is so solid already that it feels more like a demo. Seems like the hit detection could be improved, but the game is very addicting...even with only one map. Really looking forward to the full release.
I'm hooked too. Rush mode is addicting as hell. Love the feel of their version of the AK as well. With a few more tweeks this thing could be awesome. I just wish they do something about the spawn killing that goes on.
I didn't know that there was spawn killing, i'm 100% sure they spawn at random spots in their bases.
For months I've been trying to decide what military shooter I was going to buy. I needed the right game that meshes well with socom confrontation & metal gear online. For me, playing socom is like playing with the green berets unit or actual navy seals who are ordered to take out key leaders & eliminate threats at small locations in a covert raid. Metal gear online is exactly the kind of stealth assasins training to gather & intercept intelligence with the universal soilders. I consider them to be the finest soilders & mgo embraces that specific gameplay perfectly. So now I need the marines. After checking call of duty modern warfare 2 it's dissapointing to find that every soilder has the capabilities to enjoy these killstreaks. It's just not realistic to have a ac-130 bombing away while friendliest are in such close proximity. The gameplay happens to be too Arcady. MW2 just doesn't work for me. Then there's MAG. This game bothers me so much yet I can try to understand that the operation is based on para military operations. These private military factions are just dropping in on bases, while dismatling the infrastucture. To me the gameplay is bullcrap. It makes no sence. Why would helicopters just stay there as a respawn tool knowing airstrikes can be called in at anytime. Why isn't there any dogfighting to establish air superiority? It's doesn't help that the graphics suck & everything has this last gen feel to it. Warhawk is a better game & it was released years ago. Having played battlefield bad company 2 I have found the perfect marines assault operation! The jargon is correct. The weaponry is amazing! The objective is thrilling! This game is the perfect mix for my favorites that it's incredible. Headshots are ridiculously addicting & the way enemies bodies get chewed up is visceral! I can play 5 round of socom & 10 rounds of bad company 2! Then kick back & concentrate on mgo. Dice has done it again. I am very happy now knowing march 10 I can run a series of assaults that are so different from eachother yet create a incredible world of military shooters for me. It's like 1 big giant game to me.
Metal Gear Online. Socom Confrontation. & if you happen to like Modern Warfare. Killzone2 is still the FPS king but it strayed from being a military shooter into sci-fi action. K2's game modes are awesome for the war they are fighting. I truly believe K2 is in a class by itself.
killzone 2 was good but nothing great
