An amazing thing has happened. Developer Valve has broken with the awful tradition of all game sequels being "darker" than the original. For once, a series in its second outing steps into the light with brighter sunlight environments. Admittedly Valve couldn't have made its zombie apocalypse survival shooter any darker without it being completely black and thus unplayable, but the move from the dank urban streets to the American south east is a welcome one indeed. 9/10
