Digital Chumps: "Mytran Wars has a lot going for it. Whenever I have time, I like to read through the manual before playing a game, and in reading through the manual of Mytran Wars, I was impressed at how much the game has to offer. After creating my profile, I was all set to start on the very lengthy campaign (it's a good thirty-plus hours). First impressions were good; an opening cutscene was presented in a slick comic book style with cool characters and professional voiceovers. You can't judge a game by its cutscenes, no matter how bad or good, but it was encouraging."

Diehard GameFAN: Mytran Wars Review (PSP)

Mytran Wars has good presentation, but the substance doesn't quite live up to it. While there's a good number of customization options to tinker with, there's a lack of unit variety, and the game's pace dragged, which made it difficult to sit through more than one or two battles at a time. Against other SRPG juggernauts on the PSP such as Jeanne d'Arc, Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions, and the first and second Disgaea games, this pales in comparison.

Too bad, because with the holiday season in full swing, that means no time to catch your breath. This week's big draw is Borderlands, although FIFA is shaping up to be excellent for sports fans. Oh, you know what else happens this time of year? Mountains of shovelware. Come on, four Charm Girls Club and Littlest Pet Shop games for each franchise? How is that at all necessary?"
