The Reconstruction Era of The Wind Waker

The Wind Waker is widely considered to take place a few hundred years after the Hero of Time defeats Ganon in the adult ending to Ocarina of Time. However, very little is known about this time period in between Ocarina of Time and The Wind Waker. The opening to The Wind Waker reveals Ganon's return, thus explaining the reasoning for the Great Flood, but aside from these events this time period remains unseen. We are only left with a few subtle hints within The Wind Waker to speculate on what may have happened to the lost society of Hyrule. (The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Wii)
