Giving gifts to the characters in Dragon Age: Origins is one of the things that you must do in order to receive high approval ratings that can affect the relationship of your character to the others. Each of the characters in the game has a different taste and giving them gifts not suitable for them will more likely decrease the approval ratings. We've posted the near complete Gifts Giving Guide but what we don't reveal in that guide is that there are gifts that unlocks special conversation with the character.
