IGN: Resonance of Fate Hands-On

When you think of Japanese role-playing games, you typically think of extravagantly costumed heroes and heroines wielding swords and magic against hordes of dangerous enemies in turn-based battles. But what if you threw all of these traditional concepts out the window, and instead placed a larger focus on action-based gameplay with no magic whatsoever? Then, add in heroes that seem to be pulled straight from a John Woo movie, packing guns and grenades to destroy their enemies. This is the world of Resonance of Fate, an upcoming RPG from Sega and tri-Ace, the developers behind Valkyrie Profile and Star Ocean. (PS3, Resonance of Fate, Xbox 360)
