Here is a video comparison of Tomb Raider on the PS1, compared to the Anniversary edition to be released on the PS2.
Usually, I hate these comparison videos and would never approve one, because they are designed to cause flame arguments and to try and demean a console.
This however shows just how much of a leap the PS2 was from it's predecessor. It's hard to remember playing the PS1 and thinking how amazing the graphics looked, especially when shown like this. This game could have been a big c**k-up, but having played the demo, they made a fantastic job of it, and it is a great tribute to an amazing genre-defining game.
Kudos to Crystal Dynamics.
Great, so the breasteses aren't as pointy. Did the video really need to highlight that point three different times?
We don't need a Lara rehash, or a version for every machine, including my toaster. We need a true next-gen Lara with a great developer. (Legends was OK, but not great.)
