An overall strong concept derived from a better one, Spore Hero Arena excels in being a creative rendition of a masterful product in the twenty-first century of video gaming. It's a cute and fun quirk in the DS library, and the creation element of Spore is something that works well on the handheld and could continue working even better with more a few more minutes in the oven. 6/10
