Confessions of a (So-Called) Casual Gamer

After after its mammoth success in Japan, the announcement of Brain Age 2 has gathered yawns from many American gamers. That's not called a casual gamer, but a retro gamer.

Re: Buddy
I think that casual and retro gamers tend to run along similar lines. Not always, but a lot of times. Katamari and Lego Star Wars aren't retro games, for example, just simple concepts for the casual audience. And, I DO see the casual audience growing. Nice article.

Self-proclaimed Nintendo fan
All people that refer to themselves as a "good Nintendo boy" are hardcore to the max! They are so entrenched into the Nintendo lifestyle, they will even abandon the latest technology. There may be "casual" Wii owners, but anyone that posts info on the web about their Wii is a hardcore gamer.
