PC Games Hardware published 20 high-res DirectX 11 screenshots of Stalker: Call of Pripyat. the game is already on sale in several European countries.
I'm not impressed. Just slapping DirectX 11 on a game engine doesn't mean it will look good.
This game needs something... artistic ability! The textures are not well done in my opinion.
You probably haven't seen what true DX11 looks like. This is a bad example because this game actually isn't that graphically impressive.
Libraries are possibilities, it depends on how they're used.
Shame, as this really gives DX11 a bad name. Then again, STALKER's never been the nicest looking game.
It may not be the nicest looking game, which is a subjective opinion anyway, but it is unbelievably atmospheric.
Definitely! The engine is old but their artists have some serious talent. If you're looking for a game with a different pace then this is a must.
