PlayStation Network coming to PSP, hints PS3 update

Tucked away inside the latest PlayStation 3 firmware update are improvements to the console's Remote Play functionality, though we'll need to wait until the PSP's 3.50 firmware update drops - sometime this week - before samplings the goods proper. Yet still, you are able to sneak a glimpse of the forthcoming update by selecting "Remote Play" from the PlayStation 3's "Network" menu, resulting in a screen that reads: "When connecting the PSP system over the Internet, you must sign in using your sign-in ID, "[email protected]", on the PSP system."

The story is too old to be commented.

til this is up and running and we get VOD, I don't think that I will have much use for my video Ipod anymore.

If you read the update of firmware 1.80 it will add the functionality to remote play your PS3 through the internet. Meaning at a wifi hotspot you will now be able to access your PS3 if you have the remote play feature on :)

And I also hope you can watch movies real-time with the PSP. After all, its resolution won't require huge WiFi speeds.
