The environment was one of the things I was hoping to be spectacular, but everything is so dark. The combat looks terribly uninspired. I'm sadly disappointed. :(
...is what brightness/contrast settings/options are for. ???? But yes, the game is/will be in a rather dark, dingy setting. After all, this all takes place at THE BOTTOM OF THE OCEAN. If you want bright and cheerful, play Kameo or Viva Pinata. :o
The water looks freakin amazing. Esp when the glass breaks inside the tunnel and it's rushing inside. No hating on this obviously killer app. maybe you're just not cut out for a game like this, it could be a wee bit too much for your light sensitive eyes to handle. :-[
Seems like a good game for me, hope it`s not overshadowed of all the other and more well-known games coming out near x-mas.
It was pretty annoying to watch because it was so chopped up but it looks fun.
why some Fantards are jealous. Release date?
I'm just not a fan of one pitch black hallway after another. Overuse of shadows and lighting is just as bad as not having any at all. Some of their best use of lighting is 4 minutes in (at the 3 minute marker) compared to 3 minutes in (4 minute marker). I remember SS2 and by all means, I want Bioshock to be a spiritual sequel, but this game is just reminding me of Doom3. I'm not trying to be overly critical, I just had really high expectations.
oh, this game looks like sh!t, sorry. why is this game so hyped ? doom3 looks better.
Hey Kid, go play doom3 then if you dare.
It's not coming to the PS3.
I know it's tough admitting you are wrong sometimes when you purchase a system with not as many exclusives as the 360. Don't be throwing around your ignorance just to be annoying. You can do better than that.
And it seems like ps3 entourages travel in packs of 5. lol. I've gotta say, you Sony reps are sure likeminded in your prejudices.
you are an idiot, this games looks really good, water effects are absolutely amazing, gameplay looks fun too. You are a [email protected]
Even though its a few months till its released this game looks great. The dark, moody atmosphere should really set the tone. Turn off the lights, crank up the dolby surround and have some good FPS fun!
Obviously many Sony fans envy the 360 owners over this game seeing the retard comment above from Achira. This game promis to be one of the biggest new franchises. And about darkness... Well yeah you're on the bottem of the ocean, many times the electricity/lights are off. As long as its used well and in proportion that's allright. The physics, watereffects etc etc look good, the framerate/chops in images will be done when it is released this summer. Can't wait to play it!!!
If this game is 15-20 hours long it will be a certain AAA title. Anything below 15 hours that has no online multi-player, sadly is a rental at best.
That I hadn't considered...length could make or break this game.
The graphics and environments look amazing. Best water effects ever made. I love the sound effects too, and the mood the game seems to possess.
This game look simply amazing and the lighting is on point for the environment! This game has aaa written all over it and the only people that keep disagreeing are just jealous and envious over what they don't have on there console of choice!
The game is a bit dark, but I don't think it's a cop out. As stated above, it takes place in a failed utopia at the bottom of the ocean. Not much sunlight reaches down there. Most places without natural sunlight tend to be on the dark side. The graphics are clean, animations are good. The audio sounded great, especially when that flaming piece of metal slammed to the floor from above. Sounds like it will rock a room in surround sound. And of course, the water looks amazing.
Looking good. Love the atmosphere, and the AI is top notch
But 10 - 15 hours is still fine. Just amp up the difficulty. Halo on novice can be beat in 5 - 8 hours. But on legendary you mite be playing for weeks on end. I appreciate a game like Bioshock at 10 - 15 hours. I'll have weeks of entertainment because I have the [email protected] People complained about GRAW. It was 6 hours on easy. Try hard, took me 5 days at 3 - 4 hors a day.
this game is looking better every time i see it, i cant wait to get my hands on the finished version! but again i hope it will be a long game, gears fell short in the single player mode so i hope this game wont be a let down and the water! man thats sweet!
title in the making. Cant wait.
this game looks awesome. at last something different.
The game is dark but I'm really getting sick of dark games. I don't understand why these devs go to such great effort to make such great graphics only to hide them in the dark. That said, the game does look fun and I am looking forward to it.
Anybody who would grade or judge this game off THIS video is an idiot plain and simple...I watched like 20 seconds, it's way too dark and is choppy. We all know it looks much better than this, just wait for E3
i am PS3 owner, but honestly i am envy of Bioshock and Halo3 for XboX180 !!!
Man that little girl sounded creepy "Come'on Big D rip him to little bits!" i cant wait to play this
There really shouldn't be any fanboyism over this game. It's also being released on PC.
Nobody cares that it's coming to the PC, except for PC gamers. That goes for ALL 360 console exclusives, that are also being made for PC. The fact is, MS has TWO platforms for consideration....360 and PC ; anytime they can make a deal to have a game on both, they will. That doesn't make a game any less "exclusive", when you're talking about "excluding" the PS3 and Wii...which are the only platforms MS considers in such matters.
is correct. I agree, it doesn't make MS games for windows any less Exclusive, when comparing it to the other competitors. Really give it up. I'm getting this for 360.
And why would I need a PS3 again when the 360 is clearly superior? Could it be because of the limited ram and crappy GPU PS3 fans say is a myth? 360 ATI-based custom processor, Up to 512 MB GDDR3 system RAM (700 MHz) plus 10 MB embedded DRAM (eDRAM) frame buffer PS3 NVIDIA-based RSX "Reality Synthesizer, 256MB GDDR3 (700MHz) 360 512 MB GDDR3 RAM (700 MHz), shared with GPU PS3 256 MB XDR RAM (3.2GHz) Guess all that is make believe huh? I hope this game is as freaky as System Shock 2 (which I'm playing again to get ready for this game)
