French site Play-3 Live reports that a Sony PlayStation 3 version of the popular MMORPG EverQuest II: Echoes of Faydwer is in the works.
This would not be much of a shock if this is true Sony Online Entertainment for some time has been saying that the PS3 would see some MMO's come out for it. Plus the PS3 can use a keyboard and a mouse. So this makes sense. There could also be Home and PSN features added. So I think MMO games really could make PSN even better. So I hope this is true.
to bad this is a piece of garbage MMO, now if it was WoW then you'd have something
LOL WoW is a kid's version of everquest 2.... have you actually played it?
Eh, I heard EQ2 wasn't that good(can anyone confirm that?). I'll hold out for another MMO to suck my life away.
I loved it... it sucked when it first was released but they had so many improvements since then.... thousands new quests new territories etc... but I hate playing games on my computer i'd rather sit on the couch this would be great on the ps3... I loved EQOA for the ps2... it had half the sh!t of eq1 but it was still a lot of fun and very addicting... it's called evercrack for a reason...
Thanks for the info I'll have to look into it some, And I agree. Couch pwns PC chair. Thats prolly what kept me on FFXI for so long
I don't do MMO's:)
They managed to suit them well for consoles, and there were no more than a single fee required. I hate monthly/yearly fees.
lets see WoW was rated high by ever critic, and has 8.5 million people subscribing and EQ2 has what 200K???
Ya ok EQ2 is the better game
have you played both? The reason WoW has more players is because it's an easy game you can play the whole game solo eq2 you won't get past lvl 15 by urself.
I heard it sucked. And how are they going to get enough players to play it? Nobody owns a ps3. Only an idiot would buy it intentionally. lol.
However it would be terrible news for my social life.
Been playing it since it first came out and I would be very suprised if this came to the PS3. SOE has stated they have no plans to do so. The screen shots are of the new race they just introduced to the game called Arasai, which are the evil version of the Fae, along with a new starting city called Neriak.
SOE does have 4 MMO's in developement for PS3/PC and at least 2 are to be revealed in E3 this year.
Everquest was the game that MAde MMOS popular thats like saying mario suks ..he may do but he was the first good platformer.Alos if u like oblivion and morrowack u should like everquest....its a mmo that goes on line not a mmo that doesnt go online
they should do vanguard.
doesn't surprise me at all, I used to play EQ on Sony server. Maybe they will make it possible to play together with PC users.
I'm just impressed that Sony is puting a lot of effort into online now. PS2 was nothing compared to what they are trying to do with PS3 online.
Everquest 2 is the best MMO out there and this is coming from a Wow player. The only reason I play wow from time to time is because of my friends. Also Warcraft got rated highly because of it's great start and now it's big because every mmo noob is in it. That game can't touch everquest 2, sorry.
if your in the know you know !
Fake. This screenshots are from PC version http://www.soepress.com/pro...
It just got pulled.
WoW is so much better in every form, its solo fiendly which EQ2 tried to emulate later, it had PvP from the start, and looks better then EQ2, and overall the game world is more fun and imaginative.
EQ may have brought MMO's into the public eye, but WoW was what made them mainstream.
EQ2 Is Awsum Possum! I look forwards to playing this fun, graphical, hard, challenging game! Prepare yourself MMORPG the EQ~Fantasy Fans are comming!
Eq2 is a great game and its coming to the PS3. Wow is a great game also . Just EQ2 is a little more serious and WOW is watered down for the masses . So if your older then twelve then pick up EQ2 as soon as it comes out . Remember Everquest started it all and it stills have fire to take it all back .
