Electronic Theatre In-depth Review: Guitar Hero 5

Eight-five tracks from eighty-three artists are available on disc, plus the ability to import tracks from selected previous Guitar Hero releases and the promise of more to be released each week as Downloadable Content (DLC). While that statistic may be impressive, it of course means very little until you've had a chance to glance upon which tracks are included. Thankfully, that appreciation for all things Rock evidenced in earlier Guitar Hero releases is revisited here. Chart toppers such as MUSE, The Killers and Bon Jovi help entertain the masses whilst the more ardent players scramble through A Perfect Circle's Judith or croon along with Smashing Pumpkins' Bullet With Butterfly Wings. The likes of Johnny Cash, Queen & David Bowie and Dire Straits provide the Classic Rock, with The White Stripes and Queens of the Stone Age delivering the contemporary sounds. (Guitar Hero 5, PS3, Wii, Xbox 360) 90/100
