NOWGamer Review: Machinarium

When gaming historians look back on 2009 and seek the genre which defined this blessed year, the revival of the point-and-click adventure will undoubtedly be high on their list. We've had remakes, we've had IP revivals. And yet for all the excellence of the Monkey Islands and Broken Swords, being able to play something so unique yet so steeped in the past as the craftily constructed, near ground-breaking Machinarium has been worth the endurance of the rest of the half-assed bile which has attempted to fill the classic point-and-click gap this past decade.
