CVG: Dragon Age review: "RPG of the decade"

CVG writes: "The first Dragon Age: Origins review has arrived via PC Gamer magazine, which brands the BioWare game "RPG of the decade" in its 94% review.

"Thus begins Dragon Age, one of the most enormous and astonishing of games," it says. "Were the difficulty levels not so enormously silly, it would require sheer pickiness to find a major fault with this game."

PC Gamer calls Origins' gigantic environment "the most enormously detailed game world I've experienced, its history stretching back thousands of years, its cultures vivid, beautiful and flawed, the battles enormous, the humour superb."

this is misleading because this isnt the actual review but an article of a review they saw

have you seen the gameplay videos (not the cgi videos that bioware tends to show-off)?

gameplay looks crappy. animations are stiff. combat is a lot like FFXII but not as cool. the setting cannot be more generic. seriously, elves, dwarves, humans, dragons. the story is told via long, boring dialogue.

oh, it's from bioware - that's why it's overrated just like mass defect

oh yeah, RPG of the decade Diablo 2 or Final Fantasy XII or Morrowind

Strangely I'm slightly more inclined to believe someone who's actually played the game than someone who's "seen some gameplay videos".

RPG of the decade it may not be, but don't slate the game til you've at least played a bit of it!!!!
