The two Videos compare the difference between Direct X9 vs DX10
notice the way the flame moves as hunter opens his mouth in Dx10
ya they both look great but its easy to see direct x 10 brings it to a whole new level
There IS a difference. A BIG difference.
WTF is Cysis?
maybe my eyes suck maybe i need to see a side by side comparison but i honestly dnt see much of a diff sure the dx10 is better but its more like the diff between 1080i and 720p
All I can say is WOW!!!!
DX10 adds so much more to the Experience.
Sucks I will only be able to get my PC to run this game under DX9.
DX10 will most likley chug, chug , chug.....TOOT! TOOOT!
its nice but still not worth the jump to vista...
Nothing's worth the jump to vista. The worse decision that I've made for my computer is buying that PoS, and I may spend $80 to get XP back.
Second worse decision may have been giving my XP machine to my folks, but well, they really needed the upgrade. :-/
As a gamer (not regular apps, but specifically gamers) don't even think about vista unless you have AT LEAST 2 GBs of memory, though I would recommend more, and a nice shiny expensive 3D card.
With 1 GB of ram you're going to be seeing vista complaining about being out of memory. Or the game will simply crash with the DirectX error of being out of memory..
/lesigh I could #$! all night. I've lopped the feet off of my poor game machine and it's gone from a run to a limp. :(
I don't know if all Vista versions come with DX 10. I think so, but I'm not certain.
edit: I should probably add this: http://www.stephsblog.info/...
Do all vistas come with dx10?
yes vista is the only way to get dx10
To see the Jungle seen. Both add more to the experience. Lighting, detail and how the plants move are way better in DX10. To bad my PC is a single core with a 9800 pro. sad isn't?
1. Clearly your not running vista
I have a gig of DDR ram
A P4 3.2 GHZ cpu
A 100 gig HD
and a Radeon X1800 XT
Vista runs fine on my computer and games like WoW and C&C 3 run faster.
Heres some tips, 1. Turn your virtual memory onto 9999 that will get rid of any memory problems.
AND guess what 2 gigs of ram by todays standards is bad or expensive 2 gigs is like 150 bucks
yeah i have run vista... for quite some time... i hate it. switched back to xp, where i will stay... Vista = WinME = Crap
also im not some dummy that knows nothing about pcs. i've been playing on these things since my dad gave me a commodore 64 when i was 8... 15 years ago... i have 4 desktop pc's and 3 laptops up and running in my house right now... just for myself to play with... i install xp like 20 times a month just to tinker a tweak things (nlite = best xp prog ever)... and yes VISTA BLOWS!
oh and ive been running a 2gb dual proc system since 2001 (hurray abit vp6 mobo)
how did i get on this topic again...
Clearly you don't know what a DxDiag is.. but hey! That's okay, you can just go around insinuating that anyone who could -possibly- have an experience different from your own is a liar. I'm sure it'll be perfectly okay and make you popular with everyone.
AND guess what, no matter how many complaints there are about any technical issue someone will always step forward, typically while insulting those who have said technical problems, and say "it works perfect for me!".
Congrats, it rocks to be you.
I haven't experienced any RAM related problems on Vista. I have had a few blue screens of death, some dial-up modem problems, and trouble running my GFX 7950 with both GPU's enabled. Other than that it's ok, no big leap though over XP.
I have vista 64 bit prem. I like it over xp except for a few things.
1. HUGE system requiremets over xp. (I like having smooth everything)
2. Some games have issues in vista unless you run them in compat mode. This can entail making multipul files run int xp mode.
3. lots of xp programs dislike running at all in vista.
4. vista has no programs yet capable of buring dvd or cd iso files, only stand alone files.
5. I STILL HATE WINDOWS ACTIVATION! It is soooooo annoying. But MS did make it so that you could reinstall vista to the same pc multipul times without problem or reactivation.
6. this isnt really only for vista, but, it seems to me that if you have a pc, you Have to have the internet, broadband. I dont know how I would fix any pc problems without the limitless resources of the net. Files, fixes, updates, YOU HAVE TO HAVE THE GOOD OL INTERNET.
My pc is running on 1g of DDR2 ram and runs fine and has only a 3500 singl core cpu.
how does vista sell for
On my old 3000+ barton core AMD+ only 512mb and it runs about 5-10% faster than my XP did with the same board and graphics. I have 9800pro ati. Old also. Do I play games on Vista, nope. I stop playing PC games since 2 years ago. But I think i will return to PC gaming if games like these keep popping out. I wonder what ATI or Nvidia will have next year when I am ready to plump another G.
