Coming to PSN this Week: Oddworld PSone Classics

Lorne Lanning Writes:

"OMG! Our baby's come home! Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee and Oddworld: Abe's Exodus PSone Classics are both available on the PlayStation Store for only $9.99 each starting Thursday, October 22.

It was only about six years ago that I told our agent at the time, "Larry, don't you get it!? Our classic Abe games are history. The systems that played them are gone and they aren't coming back. Ours is a disposable medium and we don't have a Turner Classics channel." He looked at me with this defeated expression and said, "Dude, that's the most depressing thing I've ever heard you say." He believed me, and I too believed it at the time.

Six years later and I have to admit it's great being proved wrong"

It's about damn time. Now give me my Xenogears, Dino Crisis 1,Parasite EVE, and Bust a groove and I'm set.

......yes I said Bust a Groove. I played the crap out of that game.

SCEE always screws us over, so we might not get them. Just look at FF7, Silent Hill and Resident Evil. They're already up on the US and JP Stores while we get Hercules, A Bug's Life and The Little Mermaid.

would love it if the Books of Sorrow from The Taken King got a hard cover release with illustrations(mind you it'll be like 30pages long unless certain lore can be more fleshed out like the 1000year war between the sisters idk). Cant wait to read the lore for Rise of Iron

I've still got to try New 'n' Tasty that I got with PS+.

NukaCola3040d ago

I wish they'd patch the original controls from the PS1 version back. I can't stand the new controls. Other than that, its a good reboot. Looking forward to Exoddus.

Oddworld Inhabitants Are Teasing Something. But What Is It?

The official Oddworld Inhabitants YouTube channel has posted a video, titled Coming Soon to Oddworld.

The seven-second teaser is ambiguous, simply showing the publisher’s logo, lovable protagonist Abe, some social media information and a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it amount of footage that might indicate what’s around the corner.
