Having already cleaned up at the AIAS awards during the D.I.C.E. Summit, the Game Developers Choice Awards during GDC 2007, and the G.A.N.G. Awards, CliffyB and the rest of the talented team at Epic Games can put yet another feather in their collective cap, as Gears of War has now won four more awards at the Entertainment Merchants Association's (EMA) 2007 Video Game Home Entertainment Awards. The blockbuster Xbox 360 title won for Game of the Year, Shooter/Military Game of the Year, Best Game Graphics of the Year, and Xbox 360 Game of the Year.
RedOctane's Guitar Hero II took home two awards, including Most Innovative Game of the Year. Blizzard's insanely popular MMO World of Warcraft also fared well. The expansion Burning Crusade won PC Game of the Year and RPG/Strategy Game of the Year.
"EMA is pleased to recognize the best of today's interactive entertainment," said EMA President Bo Andersen. "The winners of our 2007 Video Game Home Entertainment Awards truly are outstanding examples of the high technology, innovation, and artistry that characterize the current generations of computer and video games."
