PS3 now lead platform for Haze

It's been confirmed by Ubisoft that its upcoming first-person shooter from Free Radical, Haze, will lead on the PlayStation 3, although the publisher has refused to reveal whether or not an exclusive deal has been agreed.

"Haze is leading on PS3, but no exclusivity for any platform has been officially announced,"" a spokesperson told GameSpot.

How is it to develop on PS3? What can you do with this console that you couldn't do with previous-gen consoles?

[SE] It's great. Working on PS3 has allowed us to create vastly superior environments that verge on photorealism - full-screen effects, High Dynamic Range (HDR) and obscenely complex shaders. Its more challenging than ever before, but the power is greater than anything else that's out there.

How about parallelism? Does the engine support multiple processors?

[SE] Yes, it has to. The architectures of PS3, X360 and high-end PC's are fairly different, but they all have one thing in common - parallel processing. The challenge for us has been in designing a solution that will work well across the platforms.

Sorry i didnt post @ 1.1 here is the link on Kotaku, scroll down for the interview

Do you have the link to that interview? I can't seem to find the quotes you posted in the article mentioned on this submission and would be curious to read the whole interview.

This game just looks too familiar so far. I've played FEAR, and it was ok, 2 years ago, but this just seems to fall into the FPS stereotype with it's poorly lit indoor corridors and armored up super-soldiers.
Honestly, if you pulled that screenshot, and stuck it in with a bunch of FEAR screenshots, I doubt you would look twice and think that it was from a different game if you hadn't been told.

I think that shot was taken from a video shot with a camera so that explains the quality. Go to gametrailers.com to see the game.

If you compare them to FEAR on PS3, you will.

:)

Edit: If you look at more of the screenshots you will find outdoor action that looks great.

that Haze will be time-exklusive for the Playstation 3 like Ace combat for the Xbox360
