Cover Yourself Up: PSP Gets Girly

While the DS, Nintendo's ultra popular handheld, may have wooed the entire casual and female market into buying their touch sensitive machine, Sony hasn't shared the same success with it's PlayStation Portable, with the sleek device mainly being played by core gamers. However, this hasn't stopped Sony trying to court casuals with family friendly games and Hanna Montana bundles as they understandably hunger for a piece of the new gaming market's very juicy pie. What they could do to bolster sales of the casual gamer is to stop screwing us with anti-consumer licensing with the PSP Go, as casual gamers like to lend their games.

PSP Go = you are;

NOT allowed to trade your games,

NOT allowed to lend your games,

NOT allowed to sell your games,

NOT even allowed to give your games away for free.

with this anti consumer move Sony has rendered all software purchases worthless.

i dont see recording artists getting monies from the sale of second hand media.

i dont see film studios getting monies from the sale of second hand DVD's

i dont see the motor industry getting monies from the sale of second hand cars.

i dont see construction companies getting revenue from the sale of second hand homes.

Just give them the PSP for a few days and presto you lent all of your games. I don't see anyone complaining about this with iTunes/iPod OR Netflix streaming, so complaining about PSP Go for this seems rather imbecilic.
