Turn 10 guy:
"Forza 3 is the definitive racing game this generation."
and
"Forza 3 is difficult to replicate."

Yeah right, watch how GT5 obliterate Forza 3 when it comes to reviews in March 2010.

Ahhh crazy Ken how I miss your crazy witty comments.

MAiKU2980d ago

There's a user with that name on this site. He's hilarious. There's like only one quote that had to do with the ps3... well actually i think 2.

Kimbo Slice2980d ago (Edited 2980d ago )

or more recently microsoft 'we have sold 9 million 360s in europe' then sony come out with official numbers over 10 million, microsofts response..' i am confident that we are 1 million units ahead of sony in europe'

kens classic 'people will have to get an extra job to purchase a ps3' ridculous starting price thats why sonys in 3rd place at the moment

Nihilism2980d ago (Edited 2980d ago )

Without reading i'm going to say that Pachter can top them all:

"sony will release a blu-ray-less ps3 to drop the price" -pachter

Now for those too dim to understand how stupid his comment was: ps3 games are on bluray disks....meaning that pachter's imaginary console would not play games or movies....what would it do again???

For an 'analyst' that guy is pretty f-ing stupid

It baffles me how idiots get jobs as CEO's. Some of these comments were made out of complete ignorance, if you don't know what you're talking about pass the question over to someone who does and don't pull shigadey out of the air and make something up on the spot. No knows everything that's why there are different positions in every business.

And some of this BS are bold faced lies Ninja Gaiden 2 for example. A good game, but what kind of impact did it really have on other developers. NONE. Maybe some unknown 3rd party developer has envy for it, but no major developer.

Peter Moore's, Dan Greenawalt's, and Aaron Greenberg's mouth SHUT.

Lifendz2980d ago

comment that Sony should scrap the PS3 and start over.

Nihilism2980d ago

regardless of the consoles quality they have lost over a billion dollars on it, so why not?

if they had just put a quad core cpu in there they would have the best games, it would have been easy to program for and there would be alot more ps3 games and of much higher quality, i hope for ps3's sake they don't go with the cell next gen

Lifendz2980d ago (Edited 2980d ago )

I may need a little clarification. By "why not," are you saying that Sony should've scrapped the PS3 and started over even after spending the money of launch and investing how ever much resources into game development, marketing, launch, etc? And let's be honest, neither you nor I know what Sony is really making or losing on the console. And Sony isn't some fly by night company. They can sustain losses to, as they plan to, recoup that money and then some in the long term ergo the 10 year life cycle.

I'm no gear head so you can throw out all the specs and techs and leave me in the dust. All I know is that I have Killzone 2, Uncharted 2, Metal Gear Solid 4, Little Big Planet, and soon God of War III and GT5 without the quad amplifier photon phaser or whatever you said.

Now perhaps you can point to some games that didn't come out so well on the PS3, but that won't refute my point that the aforementioned games are (or will be) amazing to me and many others.

Gabe Newell's comment was not only the dumbest of this gen, but fairly surprising coming from someone that isn't an N4G 360 fanboy.

I've never responded to or read any of your posts before DC so I'm assuming your a gamer and not a fanboy. If after considering all I've said you still believe Sony should've srapped the PS3 and started over you're either a fanboy, delusional, or ignorant of how the market works.

Turn 10: "FM3 is the only racing sim shipping this generation"

XD

darthv722979d ago

Actually...he had a point. As far as the 360 was concerned, HDMI wasn't necessary. It is a welcome addition however but wasnt necessary for the purpose of the 360. Component and VGA are both capable of delivering the same resolution as HDMI.

HDMI is a nice convenience with the single cable connection.

As far as PS3 is concerned then yes...it IS necessary. Bluray right there makes it required with all the HDCP the format is supposed to have.

It was an asinine statement but true to a certain degree.

The HD-DVD one takes the cake. Funny enough most of those quotes have to do with the xbox 360.

Information Minister2980d ago

That remark is indeed funny, but Microsoft can and has done much better. "We have the best games and all the franchises." Remember that one?

But Ken Kutaragi totally deserves the #1 spot. The guy was completely in love with himself by the time the PS3 was released.

MAiKU2980d ago

I don't think that's a bad thing.... why work for a company and hate it's products?

At least he's in love with a system with a disc format that toppled the HD-DVD one. All things PR related there are some casual dumb remarks made through the industry, but being completely wrong about something that your product was built is like..... the biggest fail of all time.

He got the number one spot, but his system didn't make the majority of that list... which is the lesser of two evils?

TheDeadMetalhead2980d ago (Edited 2980d ago )

How much longer until Kotick is fired? Seriously, you could make a top 10 dumbest quotes list using just him. :(

Also 5, 7, 8 and 9 = MEGA FACEPALM

CharlesDCI2980d ago

I wonder what was going through there minds when they made those comments.

Probably nothing...
