Joystiq: Demon's Souls Review

"Demon's Souls is not your friend, nor does it want or try to be. Your relationship is on its terms and you can love it or leave it.

From Software's dungeon crawler comes from some sick, demented alternate plane of existence, where arcades are thriving and popping quarters into your console is how publisher Atlus recoups the costs of the game. It's a reality where Diablo was a tremendous flop because gamers have accepted masochism as the only measure for a game's quality. Demon's Souls is your leather-clad mistress and -- the worst part -- if you can withstand the pain for almost eight hours, you may, in what can only be described as a horrifying epiphany ... begin to enjoy it." lol I am playing this game so Imma miss out on Uncharted 2 for this.
Coz its awesome like that.
ofc, its not for everyone.. only for people who tend to keep a grudge when they die =p
and.. the hack n slash system takes awhile to get accustomed to, thanks to the stamina system.

Definitely a experience everyone should have, to see whether it awakens your inner beast, or slays you like a pig in a slaughterhouse

I'm with you. Game is so fvck!ng incredible and addictive, UC2 will need to wait till I finish it. It doesnt matter how many times I die, I just feel the urge to try again, what an atmosphere this game got, it just suck you in. Highly recomended for anyone slightly interested in hack and slash or Western RPG games. Demons Souls tops Oblivion in every department.

Love this game...but I had the same experience last night that I had when obsessively playing tetris.......I dreamt all night about it. But instead of falling blocks i dreamt about parrying and riposting. i am so so sleepy today.

do not go surfing for 4 hours on a sunday, then segue into 8 hours of Demon's Souls. you will be useless at work the next day or two.

My game should be here tommorrow.
I'm currently on my Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2: Master Nin playthrough. I'll be finishing that up and Demon souls in tandem!

I'm so excited. FROM software has done an amazing job this generation. "3D Dot Heroes" has also piqued my interest!
