New teaser image showing off CryENGINE 2's Parallax Occlusion Mapping.
O.K. What is it?
@ vvvvv :) Thanx Moron. Your not so dumb after all.
"Your not so dumb after all."
:) Uh, never mind.
Parallax Occlusion Mapping gives a greater sense of depth to a surface texture applied to a polygon, such as could be used to realistically emphasize the relief surface structure of a brick wall, for example.
The same technology used in Unchartered.
Unchartered? ..why not say Gears .. or .. Perfect Dark Zero? .. they all have it.
Maybe he's never heard of those games(wink).
Because he just read the press release of Uncharted? And didn't know that either of those games used it?
better get licensing this engine for some other games.
looks great but crysis isn't really my kinda game. dunno why it doesn't seem to grab me as being a game i want.
i think the actual gameplay won't live up to the hype
i hope i am proved wrong however because the developers deserve credit for their hard work because this is no ea gash
i like developers who push the boundaries instead of trying to make a quick buck
this looks stunning
Holy crap! That looks amazing! I see a potential graphics card upgrade in my future.
maybe he didnt use those games because it looks much better in uncharted, ever think of that
The new Bump-Mapping?
