MassiveDamage: Demon's Souls Review

MassiveDamage writes: "Honestly, Demon's Souls is not for everyone. It's a game that rewards a significant investment of time. Diving into the mechanics of your character and getting into the game world itself is a slow but rewarding process. But it certainly takes some effort. If you plan to blow through the game in a couple of sittings, you might want to think again, as Demon's Souls doesn't lend itself to that type of play. But if you are craving a slow and steady dungeon crawl in a dark, immersive world with rewarding gameplay and a brutal learning curve, Demon's Souls might be just what you've been looking for since the Wizardry series. Or to put it more brashly, if you like it when an almost-impenetrable 'game' kicks you in gut for hours on end and won't stop no matter how much you cry, this is your game. (Demon's Souls, PS3) 8.5/10

i love this game. i find it much less hard as soon as u can lvl up the stats. and its all about the right weapons/equipment and the right strategy. Every demon has some easy tricks to defeat them, u just have to find out how and stop making stupid mistakes. Never ever rush into a stage even if u have beaten the part before.

I agree, and actually found the game a bit easier than most people have said because of that. Even though I don't have that guide book, nor do I look it up (never look up anything for RPGs unless I'm 100% done with the game). So far I've beaten two bosses by myself, but only because either I
A. Died from it and learned from my first mistake or
B. Went through the boss in soul form helping someone and figured out what to do.

Either way the game is fun and I'm right now demanding some sort of sequel or something similar to it :p.

I think that a sequal is pretty mush a fore-gone cunclusion at this point.
The game is a success, and now has rabid fans in the states. I'd like to see more story development and different play mechanics. And please let me keep my character builds!

I'm a little obsessed with this game at the moment. Anyone else?
