Bayonetta Demo: Xbox 360 vs. PS3

Comparison attack! Everybody loves it when two versions of the same game are pitted against each other in yet another grueling battle of the console wars, but at least this time there's a valid reason for the contrast. There has been much talk of Bayonetta having a lesser PS3 version, first noticed in Japan and then intensified when developer Platinum revealed that the game shipping on Blu-ray will be a port carried out by Sega.

Bu Bu Bu Super White turned on will make the missing textures magically appear.

Super White with 720p screens will make the foggy-milky lack luster contrast picture go away in the PS3 version.

Super White with 720p grabs without the "lesser comparison galleries" misleading you will show you the textures the PS3 version does have! will clear up their muddy /blurry look.

I think you really dont understand what super white is and what it does.

@PS3 slim,

Evidently you do not have a PS3 or you would know what you was talking about. You also have the [email protected] to make it sound like you know what you are talking about compared to gameswire? Really, That dude from gameswire made you look like a joke, and you have the nerve to talk bad about him in the open zone. mmmmm, mmmmm, mmmmmm, welcome to the ignore list buckoo. Life will be much better to not have to listen to your un-knowladgable bickering.

P.S NG2 was so much better with an extra month of polish than the 360 version will ever be.

Feels good having all consoles so you can play any game you want, on any console you choose.

Edit @ below

Two years and not one problem with my XBox 360. Guess I've been lucky. *knocks on wood*

Doesn't feel good that the 360 died again and this time not a RRoD so no warranty for me :(

gamingisnotacrime3324d ago

I have no idea how the 360 version plays, all i know is that the PS3 demo is amazing, fluid action, fast pace and good visuals.

Someone who has played both versions (not read about them) could please tell me if the 360 version is taht much superior
Thx in advance

unless you stop and count pixels, you wouldn't have noticed a difference until it was pointed out by the 40 or so troll sites looking for hits that get approved here on a daily basis

gamingisnotacrime3324d ago (Edited 3324d ago )

just like the Ghost busters fiasco, the differences were not as retarded as many "major" sites said

Thx info minister

The difference is not as big as some fanboys would like (and claim) it to be, but the 360 version does look better and runs more smoothly. It's still the same experience on both systems though, even if it is disappointing to witness such a poor port job at this day and age.

I just don't think the game is good enough to have a flamewar over it.

Dude, all you have to do is READ the article to get your answer:

"Now for the messy stuff. I'm going to get this out of the way right now: Bayonetta is clearly inferior on the PS3. Right from the outset, somebody who has played both demos will notice the difference. The colors are more faded and the contrast less defined on the PS3, with graphics that lack the vivid sheen that the 360 version has. It's certainly no dealbreaker, but the color is quite noticeably drained and it's hard to go from the 360 to the PS3 without it poking you in the eyes.

Furthermore, despite the claims that the PS3 version is running smoothly, I almost instantly noticed a janky framerate when I started playing on Sony's system, especially while jumping. Any quick movement of the camera will make the environment stutter, and it's not something that lets up during combat either. The contrast between the two versions is clear. On the 360, everything runs consistent and smooth, remaining bright, clear and gorgeous throughout. The PS3 version, by comparison, is slightly stuttered and comparatively dreary. "

... that about answers your question, I hope.

gamingisnotacrime3323d ago

I want the opinion of real gamers (not haters) that have played both versions because i played the PS3 version and it was a blast.

commodore643323d ago

So, what you are saying is, you want to ignore all the articles by reputable websites and professional journalists that all say exactly the same thing, but instead will accept the opinion of some random gamer who tells you what you really want to hear?
