In a special episode of Jeuxvideo.TV, a cockpit view has been confirmed for GT5. Most of the footage is of Gran Turismo 4, and then GTHD towards the end. However, half-way through the show you will see them modelling a cockpit view for a mercedes 300 SL. Kazunori of Polyphony Digital also confirms that there will be cockpit views in the game.
