Microsoft is warning Xbox 360 gamers about a phishing scam involving Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
“We’re starting to see some people, evildoers," Oh Major, settle down now.
The game was a scam ever since they raised the price, only difference is it's okay because Activision's doing it officially.
Scams on mah internetz?
I hope they hack all the small kids accounts!
This is a bigger scam that someone buying the game... I'm pretty shocked.
Not to sound incredibly heartless, but for the people who actually fall for this crap they deserve it.
good. let them get scam
but continues to scam its own customers, lying to them and selling addons for 60$ (halo: odst?). typical of micro$oft
Why warn only 360 owners ? The game is a scam on ps3 too :p
Because PS3 owners are smarter.
After the pathetically dumb comments I see in the Open Zone in every article I wouldn't exactly call PS3 fanboys 'smart'.
he said smarter, not smart
Learn to differentiate Fanboys and fans.
just send them the wrong info and let them play with that. If they recontact you tell them the exact same thing and then ask if they are stupid for not being able to login with y our info. Rinse and repeat as needed.
"Because PS3 owners are smarter. " Because on PSN no one talks to can do such things. Fixed.
"Because PS3 owners are smarter. " Because on PSN no one talks to can do such things. Fixed. Tucan Sam is that you?
google translate? i tinks ya broke it!
no one talks to can do such things. to can do such things... to can do...
Because on PSN no one talks to can do such things. Because on PSN no one talks to can do such things. Because on PSN no one talks to can do such things..... WHAT THE HELL DOES THAT MEAN?
M$, being hypocritical once again, warning others of scamming when they do a lot of scamming themselves i.e. selling the arcade version of the xbox 360, when with the hard drive would equal the price of the elite, not to mention wireless add ons
Anyone who falls for a password request deserves everything they have coming to them.
This is a old trick. I remember when bungie had to warn Halo players about people saying they would give them recon armor, but they just needed their password. Anyone who falls for this is either a [email protected] or a part-time gamer.
Never Not a scam.. Why that's a double negative.
It's kinda ridiculous that they need to put out these warnings. Phishing has been around for well over 10 years now. Only people with Downs would fall for them.
Anyone one who falls for this really deserve this. In general, you get warned not to give your info to anyone. Even though the scamming is not happening that much on PSN, spam messages of a "beta" for the game is happening alot.
hell, they scam box owners everyday, especially the ones who pay to play online...SUCKERS!
so a guy named Cabooseboy24 sent me a message saying send me your email and password and my dad works for infinity ward and he gave me the beta for mdwf2 and ill give it to you for 4000 microsft points. sooo ha!
