universal game launching?

what happened?

whothedog5320d ago

Did you click the link?

I don't think so.

aftrdark215320d ago

Been waiting for it. Can't wait to try it out.

kapedkrusader5320d ago

...being able to choose how much cache to use. More than the limited chat option (cell) the one thing that kept me the most from visiting Home was all the loading. Just saying it makes me feel queazy.

morganfell5320d ago

The competitons could be huge for Sony. They could see some serious draws once people realize they can actually win something tangible.

darthv725320d ago

That would be total win if they had something like that in home.

Imagine a place to go and get on virtual roller coasters and hang out in huge arcades with lots of cool games (bigger and more expansive than the bowling alley).

Bumper cars and all sorts of stuff to do. You can still chat with friends but actually have fun doing it (no offense). I just dont find anything of interest in the home spaces. The spaces are cool but nothing to really do.

Make it a serious theme park and I will gladly buy a season pass.

Somebody unthaw me from cryo-stasis when this finally gets out of beta. Maybe by then I'll be excited. zzzzzzzzzzzzz

Kyur4ThePain5320d ago

"when this finally gets out of beta"

Uhm, what are you doing in this beta, then?

Blaze9295320d ago

I honestly forgot all about Home; haven't used that thing in MONTHS.

Well, just let me know when the promised Video/Music/Photo sharing comes to HOME. Until then, I still find it all so pointless.

Golfcoachh5320d ago

I don't know why, I was so excited about it before it came out. Now when I go in its like a bunch of people running around jumping in your face and dancing. Bowling was OK, but it just leaves me kind of meh about it. Doesn't mean other people don't like it, just not for me I guess.

morganfell5320d ago

^^^^^That arrives before the competition's personal store where you can sell everything from t-shirts to game mods.

Redempteur5320d ago

Did you know ?

There more to home than bowling

Raz5318d ago

Who says I am? In actual fact, I'm *not* in it. It has long since been erased from my hard drive, freeing up space for actual games. Disagree if you like - but there's something wrong with a beta that spans years.

Maddens Raiders5318d ago

sweet HOME. I love hanging out there.

It was about time, finally some great news. I don't use Home much but my wife does and was wondering what happened to Sony's promises and their approved suggestions.

RedDragan5320d ago

But what about the rest of the world?

Europe doesn't even have picture frames yet!!!

GamerPS3605320d ago (Edited 5320d ago )

Home is not very gamer friendly. I haven't logged into Home over a year now. PS3 is gaming machine first.

saint_john_paul_ii5320d ago (Edited 5320d ago )

well, its becoming gamer friendly now that it has the ability to launch my Game from Home.

all they need to do now is to require companies to support Home when it comes to launching online games, not to mention require Devs to support the Trophy Space when it eventually comes to Home...

Rigmaster5320d ago

"Home is not very gamer friendly"

Yes, that is why over 8 million PS3 'gamers' are Home users already...

Mr Logic5320d ago

Home has not even been out for a year. Wtf are you talking about?

SIdepocket5320d ago

Beta testers have had the game for almost two years now, and I agree, it's a snooze.

Home is a joke, biggest lame investment by SONY so far

Godmars2905320d ago

At least they're trying to give reason you'll drag yourself into a virtual world and buy virtual crap instead of making it not only paid but mandatory.

Snoogins5320d ago

Home has come a long way and has still more work ahead of it. In its current state, I've had a lot of fun and met many interesting people who I play games with. As a community service, which is what Home is intended to be, it succeeds. Functionality is improving (game launching which is nice) and will continue to increase when they add audio and video streaming, opening up more possibilities for communal interaction.

You say Home is a joke to you, so I ask you, why is it a joke and what do you think will make it worthwhile to you?

I never got around to mass effect - I’m skeptical that it would hold up if I were to try it now

Furesis13h ago

I would say it does. The combat is a bit shit for todays standards but everything else is great.

anast11h ago

It's worth a play through today.

Still have my ps3 copies. Bought it at launch and another one when I found it cheap and in perfect condition about 10 years ago. I wouldn’t buy it on Switch but if they made a PS5 version I would. I still have one of my PS3 Fats hooked up so good to go either way.

darthv721d 7h ago

Id play it again on the switch. I wished my 360 version was bc but this is still a good way to play.
