Originally, the list of games to be released this month was huge.
Looks like Sony's playtest results carries some major weight. For all the dev teams' comments, the publisher apparently chose Sony's take on this title.
I was looking forward to this and Borderlands next month :(, now there's one less WRPG too look forward too next month.
"Looks like Sony's playtest results carries some major weight. For all the dev teams' comments, the publisher apparently chose Sony's take on this title." If that's true it means the developers were in denial. I doubt one person from Sony could do much to stop a multiplatform game from being released. Maybe the guy from Sony was the only one who would admit the game has problems. You don't delay a game six or more months because of one report.
He said it was too hard, and "not enough RPG" when he only played an hour of a 30 hour game.
That's cool. This will be an awesome summer title. And it will be better with six extra months of dev time.
oh man not another one, as long as it turns out great don't mind the wait, but seriously my wallet is going to take a bashing next year with all these games coming out.
I saw this coming when Sega announced their games for TGS and this wasn't one of them.
Was afraid of this after that Sega leak earlier. Oh well, I was losing interest in this after hearing it would only be roughly 25 hours and didn't feel like an RPG. Another 6 months of additional developement time could work wonders for this game.
man these delays are overcrowding 2010 now
Don't worry, delays will also uncrowd 2010. Sad, but likely true.
now i really got nothing to play on my xbox. will there allways games from 2007 to play.
U got odst......and...........that xbla game...and......well next year.......time to get a playstation and be a two system owner
oh i forgot i got ng2 beta & starocean beta game on b!tcHs
The right half of that picture looks like it was taken out of MGS4 act 1.
lol now that you mention it, it does look like act 1 of MGS4...
maybe they don't want release it to close to dragon age/Mass effect 2 so there using the time to polish it up either way there is to much stuff coming out next year am happy but my bank account ain't going to be :P
shame I was really looking forward to playing Alpha Protocol this year, hopefully the delay adds a bit more polish to the game. Though knowing the publisher (SEGA) it might have only been delayed in hopes of getting a few more sales during next year.
Damn, I've already pre-ordered it on Steam! This was the next game I was looking forward to! Oh well, I've already got more great games than I have time to play I suppose... By the way, there's no attribution in the story, where did this information come from?
Badly reported story... As much as people dislike Kotaku, at least they y'know appear to have some training in reporting... http://kotaku.com/5368298/r... The short of it: it's a rumour based off retailer listings pushing the game back to next June.
@TONY Exactly! This is just getting started because of Gamestop listing. Since when do we look to retailers for legit release dates?
Oh for the love of god, devs should just put dates a year ahead in a hat, and tell the world the game will relase on this day.
It is at present still unofficial weather or not the game has been delayed, or for what amount of time. It is safe to assume however that it will be. And though I am disappointed that I won't be playing it soon, the game does (with all honesty) look like it needs a healthy dose of polish.
So people from Sony whines that the game is to hard & the game gets delayed ? Ah well Sony ****** this game
