PSInsider writes: Capcom shows off RE5 using PS3's motion controller
Wow didnt see that one coming at all.
It sounds great. Re4 Wii edition was pretty awesome.
I wanna play like split-screen co-op. But Idk if having a motion control would be that big of a jump.
Glad to hear that they are trying to do hardcore games with the motion control right off the bat. Resident Evil 5 would be one game that I might prefer this control method over the traditional one.
Probably part of the director's cut features? Sounds cool though, will be like RE4 for the Wii.
yea thats what they said it would be like and in the directors cut coming spring 2010
so the ps3 motion controller is already being put to use i guess MS should of thought natal through alittle more.
Yeah, how would you play RE5 using Natal? You cant.
Knowing Capcom, they probably have a Natal version planned for RE5.
Definitely need to see something like this.
i think i may finally buy re5 now that it will support motion controls, i just hope the characters dont move around like tanks still
I didn't like the turrent style of combat but i'd like to check this out.
they still move around like tanks. Though it's more smoother using mouse/keyboard. I have a 360 controller sitting right here but I just can't bring myself to use it when I'm playing.
Im gonna pick the game up when motion controls get released. its just gonna make it that much easier to aim using the motion controls. I wish there was a video of it.
apparently, you use the the Dualshock 3 controller for movement of the character, and the Motion-controls for movement of the weapon. This is really...Really Dumb. They seriously need analog sticks on these controllers. its not going to work if they do that.
agreed, they could at least rip off the wii's analog stickj....just you know improve it.
Agreed, I was excited until I heard you have to hold the dualshock. This could be fine or really stupid. It might sound like a minor complaint, but it can bring the whole experience down.
I'm glad I wasn't the only one thinking that about the dual shock... It's great that Sony has already attached their thing to a genre I'd actually play...(still waiting for MS to do the same), but it doesn't SOUND very optimal here for RE5.
I'm hoping you'll at least be able to use two motion wands, one for aiming and firing and the other for movement, rather than a DS controller and a motion wand.
The dualshock is not made to be used with one hand. No one will be able to replicate the nunchuck like this, unless they add a analog stick to the wands...something, I now see not happening (if the wand they showed at the press is the final prototype)
Are you'se all handicapped or something. Whats so hard about holding the DS3 in one hand? I only ask because for years I've wanted a true free roaming FPS that you walk with the left stick and shoot with a lightgun.
is just uncomfortable, and maybe hard for kids with small hands though i guess... but all that could be resolved just by adding a analog stick.. simple as that! (but i guess for sony not that simple)
Actually, maybe sony should release (as an option of course) a 1/2 dualshock, sort of like the Wi Nunchuck...
I don´t think that´s a good option, because it would make the controller more expensive (camera+wand+half DS = $$$$$$$)
I think there will probably be a nunchuck type device but I like this option too because at least it making do with what everyone already has. One less thing to buy.
or if the added motion controls will be another selling point for RE5: Director's Cut. I'm guessing Capcom will try to maximize consumer interest in the Director's Cut by making the motion controls exclusive to it.
But we done put a man on the moon anything is possible. They will figure it out.
It is a huge mistake am actually pissed off how can u spend so much time developing it and miss an analogue stick!?! even people posting after e3 were saying its going to have one! is the central button some kind of weird nub!? ugh edit zombie: that was a blunder and still 1 more than the ds this is a pooch screw :(
psp come to mind, yea they put 1 but it would of sold twice as many in my opinion if it had 2.
very interesting, but using the DS3 controller in conjunction with the PS3 wand is odd. I hope Sony releases a separate analog stick/control mechanism for use with the PS3 wand.
RE5 wasnt that good. Now its going to be evenless enjoyable but who knows they might do something good. That would be cool if they made a rpg that played like oblivion and had all those cool movements (and more) from the sony conference. I really enjoyed that crossbow action. "spins then yells like link"
Sony's Pull-apart controller comes to mind. http://www.neogaf.com/forum...
lol this is not going to work.
That set-up is fail. Sorry... That must be uncomfortable as heck. The only thing Sony needs to do to evade this it's to add a freaking analog to the mother!#R$% controller for god's sake!!! !%$#!
natal is very laggy! psw is so fast!
