Simply beautiful. People familiar with the former works of Team ICO know beauty isn't skin-deep but also present in the gameplay, the stories told through great subtlety and the music. The videos always strike me emotionally and perhaps it is because they reignite my passion for fantasy that I had as a child for things medievil and fantastic (relationship between boy and griffon reminds me of boy and white dragon in Neverending Story). This game, as well as any future titles from Team ICO will be Day One purchases from me. I only hope to have the opportunity to purchase HD remasters of ICO and SotC before this release.

The trailer shows exactly what we all expected. The Last Guardian will be an Epic Mix of Shadow of the Colossus Boss Fighting with the brain teasing puzzles of Ico. It's gonna be EPIC!!!!!!

The developers don't want to give away too much of the story, but with a short trailer like this it shows that for one, you can climb/hold onto the Beast ala SoTC. It also shows a young boy who resembles Ico. I think this trailer shows a lot more than you guys think.

These two factors blend to create the single most impressive looking game ever. That creature in the video is the most impressive character model in a video game ever, beats anything on any platform (including PC)

Nothing will cme even close to this game. The only game which I think has a possibility of a chance of coming close to this game is Agent, because its Rockstar North. No other game this generation will do what The Last Guardian will do.

Yea Last Guardian fills a niche market, and it won't sell great compared to the other games, despite the amount of quality going into it. It'll definitely be one of those games that you play, 10 years later, talk to some people about it and they'll be like "yea I remember .... it was so awesome" - just like how some people bring up Final Fantasy 3(6) and people can go on hours end making conversation about it.

It's too bad really, Sony introduces some pretty uniquely creative & unforgettable games, but their sales just don't look appealing. However, where the game fills a niche and where there are fans that want more, it's good knowing that desire for more is encouragement enough for developers to make a sequel and design something even better for their fans.

I can't make an opinion about this game because I know nothing at all about it. Do the rest of you have some information I dont, because so far there have been 2 trailers and neither of them has dialogue. It looks cool, but I haven't seen enough to say that it's better than anything out there currently. Except the monster dog. He is well-rendered.

I think the excitement is largely based off of the develepor's previous 2 games, which myself and others consider masterpieces. Already we can see through the distinct art direction and beautiful scenery, unique gameplay mechanics, and the raw emotion of each scene where the creature is with the boy that this is going to be another classic Team Ico game. And the part about dialogue, well you'll be surprised how well their games work with so little of it.

ico on a ps2 demo disc and thinking,this game is mine. played through it many times. then seen some artwork of sotc,found out it was the same developers,and knew it was going to be epic. i was not disappointed. now they are throwing 'the last guardian' at me, and i know the game will be another masterpiece. can't wait. i'll also buy hd ico and sotc. keep your fingers crossed everyone.
