IGN: The Last Ninja 2 Review

The Last Ninja 2: Back with a Vengeance is regarded by many seasoned Commodore 64 veterans as one of the finest games ever made for the platform, and it's nice to see it follow its predecessor into the American Wii Shop for a Virtual Console re-release. Gamers who've played and enjoyed the first Last Ninja adventure, on sale in the Shop since last February, should jump right in and invest 500 Wii Points here to keep Armakuni's journey going.

Newcomers, though, should probably backtrack to the original first before following this ninja to New York -- go and download Last Ninja 1, and if you can deal with its quirky controls without too much frustration, come back and grab this follow-up too. (And then stay tuned for The Last Ninja 3, because Armakuni is still alive for one more adventure after this second quest, too.)
