Come for the article, not the sensationalism...

Raystorm HD, nice... Only kind of interested in 0 Day.

As for Natal, are they just talking about it more? Or have any of these guys signed on to actually make stuff?
TotalPS3Fanboy  +   2328d ago
Of course
Kojima is also on board with PS3 Motion Controller too.

Kojima will put Eve (young version) as your personal "Milo".
evrfighter  +   2328d ago
Well. The third party support is obviously there. I'm guessing Hideo Kojima is itching to put his creativity to the test with Natal. It's going to be interesting to see what he can do with it.

I honestly believed Natal was not going anywhere. Guess that shut me up.

The open zone is over there ----->
GiantEnemyCrab  +   2328d ago
The Xbox 1 was the most powerful console when it launched and was rock solid(despite the power cord recall). MS's keyboard and mouse are top notch and the 360 controller is one of the best.

All MS hardware? I agree go to the Open Zone.

You take bubbles, report and never think about this sad individual again.
Hutch2355  +   2328d ago
No suprise
Of course developers are talking about posibilities. I doubt much will come of it though. maybe, who knows.
Kushan  +   2328d ago
That's a LOT of developers for "nothing" to come from it.

From a different article:

"Among the elite publishers actively working on games for “Project Natal” are Activision Blizzard, Bethesda Softworks, CAPCOM, Disney Interactive, Electronic Arts, Konami, MTV Games, Namco Bandai, Sega, Square Enix, THQ Inc. and Ubisoft. Together, these publishers account for more than 70 percent of third-party software sales for this generation of console and most of the world’s most recognized video game franchises."

There you have it, 70% of the whole industry are actively working on GAMES for Project Natal. So much for "nothing".
Hutch2355  +   2328d ago
I didn't say nothing
I just mean, its not like the majority of games coming out are going to be for natal. I imagine some wii sports like games and a couple of medium hardcore games, maybe halo reach, but really I don't think it will change the world. I will love it for the minority report type stuff, but I am not sure how its going to work in games. I am looking forward to it, I just think that their wont' be much as far as games announced.
cmrbe  +   2328d ago
so its all about Natal now?. Lets see what you got MS.

"discuss the possibilities"

but of course every one will miss that part and think that those developers are hitting Natal development 24/7.
Kushan  +   2328d ago
Maybe YOU missed the part where they said they're ACTIVELY WORKING ON GAMES using Natal?
infekt  +   2328d ago
Weak announcements..
Omega Zues  +   2328d ago
Sorry read it and doesnt say any where

It did however say that those developers will be there to talk about Natal and such.
Kushan  +   2328d ago
THat's because MN's post is only a summary of the announcements, not the announcements themselves.

Further details here -
Tony P  +   2328d ago
Actually that answers my question in the first few comments.

So hopefully this will result in some good stuff and convince other devs to sit at the table. I've still a host of doubts, but more support means it's more likely a few of those devs will make a Natal game I'll want to play.
devilhunterx  +   2328d ago
you didnt only pwn him, you utterly destroyed him and chicken bucket.
GiantEnemyCrab  +   2328d ago

Kinda cool to hear about the devs working/showing interest in Natal but not much I am interested in.

MS appears to just be rolling over this year and letting 3rd parties release all the software.. most of it mediocre garbage. 2nd place is fleeting my dear MS.

I'm sure they have more info coming and hopefully some Reach footage so not all is lost.

Failtal will suck no matter how many people support it. Most big 3rd parties support the wii yet most of its games suck.

Let them enjoy the moment while they can cos when natal comes out...Its gonna be like an atom bomb, would stop PS3 momentum globally.

Even if Natal has no quality whatsoever, it will sell, why? Simple, Microsoft's crowd will buy anything they market
By the way, just because these developers are working on titles for Natal doesn't mean they'll all be good now will they? How do you know that they will have quality?

Just so the angry xbox360 fans know, I hate motion sensing, so this applies to Sony aswell, I need a controller in order to play a game, I'm sorry, I just can't play with thin air.
Grown Folks Talk  +   2328d ago
How do we know any new game will be good?
We like to brag on how great so & so & such & such is going to be, yet they don't release until 2010. What's the difference?
TotalPS3Fanboy  +   2328d ago
I am sure multiplatform games will take advantage of both the PS3 Motion Controller and Natal.
But it'll be the exclusive games that will take the PS3 Motion Controller and Natal to the max. And with those exclusives, we'll finally see which is better, PS3 Motion Controller, or Natal? I am betting on the PS3 Motion Controller since it actually have buttons and it's just so much easier to hold something rather than pretending to hold something imaginary as with the case of Natal.
calis  +   2328d ago
If MS want it to sell they should call it Halo-tal
Emmettcelticfan  +   2327d ago
you seriously dont really believe that do you

Holy F,n sh!tty announcements batman. I'm am so sick of hearing these dummies at Microsoft say wait for "ENTER GAME CONFERENCE NAME HERE" only to be let down with the same old lame announcements. If you are a follower of Microsoft i beg you to just stop because gamers deserve better.
Kushan  +   2328d ago
People seem to want to rag on Natal and (to a lesser extent) Sony's Motion controller, but those same people need to see the bigger picture.
Look at the Wii, look at how its selling, look at the way it flies off of shelves, even today, despite being in almost every single way an inferior console to the PS360. How can you honestly expect Microsoft and Sony to ignore that?
But it doesn't matter if you like motion controls or not, it doesn't matter if you hate casual gaming or not, what matters is that adding this technology only helps to strengthen the platform as a whole. Anything that increases sales will also increase the liklihood that a publisher is willing to drop a title onto it - more consoles means a bigger market. This means more games, bigger games, better games, by accommodating for the casual crowd, you make life much better for the hardcore as well.
So forget the fact that you think it sucks, remember what your granny or your not-really-a-big-gamer cousin would think of it - they'll lap it up, just like they did with the Wii.
KionicWarlord222  +   2328d ago
A lot of support Microsoft has for Natal . hopefully success will follow .

Microsoft is doing big things !

Spike47  +   2328d ago
More sales?
Hmm, do Wii games sell a lot, aside from like 2 games, I don't think Wii games sell too hot, I'm pretty sure an Xbox owner would know that by now seeing as sales play a big role in their gaming world. And this places Natal in direct competition with the Wii, which means that when people look at natal they look at the wii.

But I defenitly don't criticize MS or Sony for trying to follow Nintendo. I have to admit though, that when Sony showed off their motion controller, and how he shot an arrow so realisticly, it defenitly impressed me. If they are going to introduce motion sensing now, don't just make shovelware. That's all I want and hope for.

The Wii's "hardcore" titles don't sell as well because any "hardcore" gamer is going to own a 360 or a PS3, not a Wii. With the likes of Natal/SMC (Sony Motion Control) there's a much higher chance of crossover, either a casual who tries out the harcore, or a harcore player who wants the cool accessory. I mean, I myself am in no way interested in most casual games, but if a good RPG or whatever came out that uses Natal, I'd give serious thought into picking it up.
beardpapa  +   2328d ago
Hmm... Sony demo'd the motion controller's 1:1 to exemplify motion control in a strategy game aspect. I would like to see Microsoft use Natal's motion control in something like Halo Wars. Imagine using your fingers to select units, and using gestures to command moves. It'll be like minority report... for games.
glennc  +   2328d ago
sony's motion controls are a copy of the wii, at least MS are going for something different (although it could backfire, sony is going down the tried and tested route). they all copy each other, but it's good to see a different approach to the copying.

either way i am just not interested

M$ is making big moves
Natal is getting a lot of attention. Some people say the Eyetoy can do the same. I don't see the press and devolopers supporting that point of view. The press is saying M$ might be buying EA. If that happens they will own the market. I doubt it will happen though.
RockmanII7  +   2328d ago

It's going to happen.
No matter how much we don't want for motion controls to become the norm it's going to happen.

I hate motion controls, my wii has been sitting on a shelf for like 6 months now.

But if it's going to happen, I'd rather see it happen in the hands of visionaries of their fields like Inafune, and in an attempt to make it for the core gamer.

Not the best announcements in the world, but it's good to see Natal receiving more support. I have a feeling we're going to see some pretty incredible stuff with Natal and the PS3 motion controller and 3D for that matter.
dustgavin  +   2328d ago
I do agree with that. It will be interesting to see what new experiences these technologies will bring to gaming.
LiViNgLeGaCY  +   2328d ago
Ya' know, I was really hoping to hear something in terms of a new Lost Odyssey sequel.

I have absolutely zero interest in MS or Sony's motion controller crap. I hate how they think just because the Wii has been so successful, they have to follow the same route.
glennc  +   2328d ago
they are going after the wii's market. the wii hasn't actually stolen much of sony and MS's market, they went out and found their own. now sony and MS want some of that market.

it is not aimed at you (or me). it is aimed at the casual market. they would be stupid not to.
LiViNgLeGaCY  +   2328d ago
I'd have to agree with most here. This was pretty disappointing for me as far as announcements go. I was hoping for more. Maybe some new IP's or Sequels to some of my favorite games on the 360 would have been kind of nice. (I'm looking at you Lost Odyssey!)
