We also announced broad developer support for Project Natal. Many of the industries most creative minds have signed up to support Natal. Today in Tokyo at TGS, CAPCOM's Keiji Inafune, creator of Mega Man and Dead Rising, Sega's Toshihiro Nagoshi, creator of Super Monkey Ball and Konami's Hideo Kojima, creator of the Metal Gear Solid series will discuss the possibilities for the groundbreaking new experiences that can only be achieved with Project Natal at a special creators panel. I'll be recording the complete audio of the panel for posting later this week."

Ohhhh SNAP!!
Raystorm HD, nice... Only kind of interested in 0 Day.
As for Natal, are they just talking about it more? Or have any of these guys signed on to actually make stuff?
Kojima is also on board with PS3 Motion Controller too.

I honestly believed Natal was not going anywhere. Guess that shut me up.
I bet that has you feeling all warm and fuzzy on the inside. ;)

All MS hardware? I agree go to the Open Zone.
Of course developers are talking about posibilities. I doubt much will come of it though. maybe, who knows.
From a different article:
"Among the elite publishers actively working on games for “Project Natal” are Activision Blizzard, Bethesda Softworks, CAPCOM, Disney Interactive, Electronic Arts, Konami, MTV Games, Namco Bandai, Sega, Square Enix, THQ Inc. and Ubisoft. Together, these publishers account for more than 70 percent of third-party software sales for this generation of console and most of the world’s most recognized video game franchises."
There you have it, 70% of the whole industry are actively working on GAMES for Project Natal. So much for "nothing".
I just mean, its not like the majority of games coming out are going to be for natal. I imagine some wii sports like games and a couple of medium hardcore games, maybe halo reach, but really I don't think it will change the world. I will love it for the minority report type stuff, but I am not sure how its going to work in games. I am looking forward to it, I just think that their wont' be much as far as games announced.
so its all about Natal now?. Lets see what you got MS.
^^Wow, some nice names looking into Natal.
forget Natal! Forget the casuals!
PLEASE GIVE ME MISTWALKER NEWS!
"discuss the possibilities"
but of course every one will miss that part and think that those developers are hitting Natal development 24/7.
Sorry read it and doesnt say any where
"ACTIVELY WORKING ON GAMES using Natal?"
It did however say that those developers will be there to talk about Natal and such.
Further details here - http://news.teamxbox.com/xb...
So hopefully this will result in some good stuff and convince other devs to sit at the table. I've still a host of doubts, but more support means it's more likely a few of those devs will make a Natal game I'll want to play.
you didnt only pwn him, you utterly destroyed him and chicken bucket.
Kinda cool to hear about the devs working/showing interest in Natal but not much I am interested in.
MS appears to just be rolling over this year and letting 3rd parties release all the software.. most of it mediocre garbage. 2nd place is fleeting my dear MS.
I'm sure they have more info coming and hopefully some Reach footage so not all is lost.
Let them enjoy the moment while they can cos when natal comes out...Its gonna be like an atom bomb, would stop PS3 momentum globally.
By the way, just because these developers are working on titles for Natal doesn't mean they'll all be good now will they? How do you know that they will have quality?
Just so the angry xbox360 fans know, I hate motion sensing, so this applies to Sony aswell, I need a controller in order to play a game, I'm sorry, I just can't play with thin air.
We like to brag on how great so & so & such & such is going to be, yet they don't release until 2010. What's the difference?
But it'll be the exclusive games that will take the PS3 Motion Controller and Natal to the max. And with those exclusives, we'll finally see which is better, PS3 Motion Controller, or Natal? I am betting on the PS3 Motion Controller since it actually have buttons and it's just so much easier to hold something rather than pretending to hold something imaginary as with the case of Natal.
I better keep up to date with major nelson .
Look at the Wii, look at how its selling, look at the way it flies off of shelves, even today, despite being in almost every single way an inferior console to the PS360. How can you honestly expect Microsoft and Sony to ignore that?
But it doesn't matter if you like motion controls or not, it doesn't matter if you hate casual gaming or not, what matters is that adding this technology only helps to strengthen the platform as a whole. Anything that increases sales will also increase the liklihood that a publisher is willing to drop a title onto it - more consoles means a bigger market. This means more games, bigger games, better games, by accommodating for the casual crowd, you make life much better for the hardcore as well.
So forget the fact that you think it sucks, remember what your granny or your not-really-a-big-gamer cousin would think of it - they'll lap it up, just like they did with the Wii.
Microsoft is doing big things !
(lol)
Hmm, do Wii games sell a lot, aside from like 2 games, I don't think Wii games sell too hot, I'm pretty sure an Xbox owner would know that by now seeing as sales play a big role in their gaming world. And this places Natal in direct competition with the Wii, which means that when people look at natal they look at the wii.
But I defenitly don't criticize MS or Sony for trying to follow Nintendo. I have to admit though, that when Sony showed off their motion controller, and how he shot an arrow so realisticly, it defenitly impressed me. If they are going to introduce motion sensing now, don't just make shovelware. That's all I want and hope for.
either way i am just not interested
Natal is getting a lot of attention. Some people say the Eyetoy can do the same. I don't see the press and devolopers supporting that point of view. The press is saying M$ might be buying EA. If that happens they will own the market. I doubt it will happen though.
Its official. M$ is done with japan. Expect a no show from M$ at next years Tokyo game show.
i don't know what to type about it.....if it is good i may get it, but something tells me............................ ...................
No matter how much we don't want for motion controls to become the norm it's going to happen.
I hate motion controls, my wii has been sitting on a shelf for like 6 months now.
But if it's going to happen, I'd rather see it happen in the hands of visionaries of their fields like Inafune, and in an attempt to make it for the core gamer.
Not the best announcements in the world, but it's good to see Natal receiving more support. I have a feeling we're going to see some pretty incredible stuff with Natal and the PS3 motion controller and 3D for that matter.
I have absolutely zero interest in MS or Sony's motion controller crap. I hate how they think just because the Wii has been so successful, they have to follow the same route.
it is not aimed at you (or me). it is aimed at the casual market. they would be stupid not to.
I'd have to agree with most here. This was pretty disappointing for me as far as announcements go. I was hoping for more. Maybe some new IP's or Sequels to some of my favorite games on the 360 would have been kind of nice. (I'm looking at you Lost Odyssey!)
